## Replacements

*Ordered by how much of the original’s job each one covers, closest first. Paid placement does not affect this order.*

1. [TIKR](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/tikr.md) — The research half of Atom in one place, with estimates, transcripts, global financials and a screener from 24.95 a month. Excel export starts on Pro.
2. [Koyfin](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/koyfin.md) — The screener, watchlists and charts, with estimates beside them, and a typed-in portfolio with alerts on Premium at 79 a month billed annually.
3. [Fiscal.ai](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/fiscal-ai.md) — For the Premium KPIs Atom sold, segment and operating metrics next to filings and transcripts, two years of KPI data on the free plan.
4. [Stock Analysis](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/stockanalysis.md) — The nearest price, 79 dollars a year for Pro, with long financials, saved screens, watchlists and alerts. No filings archive and no transcript search.
5. [Quartr](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/quartr.md) — For the documents piece, earnings calls, transcripts, filings and slide decks, free on iOS and Android with keyword alerts.
6. [ETF Insider](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/etf-insider.md) — For fund look-through, the stocks under a portfolio of US ETFs and mutual funds, with overlap and concentration, free for up to four saved portfolios.

## The product

Atom Finance sold a research app to individual investors and, alongside it, the same components
to brokers and platforms that embedded them through its APIs. The consumer side ran on the web,
iOS and Android, and its pricing page, captured by the Internet Archive in April 2023, offered a
paid plan at 6.99 dollars a month with a seven-day trial.

The same capture listed what that bought, in four groups. **Research companies:** a stock
screener, watchlists, a chat, news and document search, a sandbox and Excel export. **Screen and
monitor:** breaking news and alerts, analyst commentary, daily market briefings, price-change
explanations, equity research summaries and price-target updates. **Search documents:** stock
quotes, premium KPIs, analyst forecasts and estimates, investor documents, institutional and fund
holdings, and historical financials. **Track investments:** account aggregation, mock accounts and
fund look-through, which showed the individual stocks underneath a holding of ETFs or mutual funds.

That was a long list for the price, and the reason people held it: a retail investor got
estimates, transcripts and KPI data that usually come in a terminal, and their brokerage accounts in
the same app.

**What happened.** A notice of discontinued service on Atom's own site said: "As of March 1, 2024
we will no longer support the Atom Finance web and mobile applications," and that users kept
access until 29 February 2024. It promised prorated refunds, said Atom Finance "continues to
support our B2B clients", and named no consumer successor. The notice is undated; the Internet
Archive first captured it on 18 April 2024. On 25 October 2026 atom.finance redirected to a page
that returned not found.

## What to use instead

Atom bundled five jobs. Split them, and decide which ones you actually used, because paying for
all five separately costs several times what Atom did.

**Estimates, transcripts and financials.** [TIKR](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/tikr) is the closest single
replacement: S&P Global Capital IQ financials, analyst estimates and transcripts on 100,000-plus
stocks, with a global screener. Plus, at 24.95 a month, has no Excel export; Pro, at 54.95 or
37.95 billed annually, adds it with ten years of transcripts. [Fiscal.ai](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/fiscal-ai) is the
one to look at if it was the KPI pages you used. Segment and operating metrics are its centre, with
two years of KPI data free and ten on Pro.

**Screening, watchlists and charts.** [Koyfin](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/koyfin) carries a screener, watchlists,
dashboards and estimates; alerts on your own watchlists and portfolio analytics start on Premium. [Stock
Analysis](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/stockanalysis) is the cheap route: financials and stock and ETF screeners
without an account, and Pro at 79 dollars a year for longer history, saved screens and
up to 100 alerts.

**Documents.** [Quartr](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/quartr) is free on the phone for earnings calls, live and recorded
transcripts, filings, slide decks and keyword alerts. For a full-text search across SEC filings
on the desktop, [BamSEC](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/bamsec) does it properly, at a price aimed at professionals.

**Fund look-through.** [ETF Insider](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/etf-insider) shows the stocks under a portfolio of
US-listed ETFs and mutual funds, with overlap and concentration, free for up to four saved
portfolios and 14 dollars a month for full holdings data.

**Linked brokerage accounts.** Two of the research tools above take one: Fiscal.ai pulls holdings
from a brokerage connection into a dashboard, and Stock Analysis syncs brokerage accounts into a
portfolio. TIKR has no broker import, and Koyfin's portfolio is typed in or loaded from a CSV. For
returns and dividends across accounts that update themselves, use a tracker from
[portfolio trackers](https://stockmarketstack.com/categories/portfolio-trackers), and check its supported-broker list
before paying.

## What you give up

**The price.** 6.99 a month bought estimates, KPIs, transcripts, a screener, aggregation and
look-through. TIKR Pro alone is 37.95 a month billed annually, Koyfin Premium 79 on the same terms, and neither links
a brokerage account. The cheapest combination that covers most of Atom is Stock Analysis Pro at 79
dollars a year plus the free plans of Quartr and ETF Insider: about what Atom cost, across three
accounts instead of one.

**One login for research and holdings.** The same app held your linked accounts and the research.
Fiscal.ai and Stock Analysis can pull in brokerage holdings; with TIKR or Koyfin, the tracker knows
your positions and the research tool does not.

**Fund look-through inside the tracker.** Atom showed the stocks under your funds next to your
linked accounts. ETF Insider does the look-through on a portfolio you enter yourself, US funds only,
and the trackers in this catalogue that do it, such as Parqet and extraETF, are built for German
and European brokers.

## Migration notes

**Watchlists and screens did not survive.** The notice offered no export, and access ended on 29
February 2024. Rebuild screens from the criteria, not from memory of the
results: the replacements do not share one dataset, and the same filter returns a different list.

**Estimates are not one number.** Consensus depends on which analysts the supplier counts and when
it updates. Koyfin and Stock Analysis both take theirs from S&P Global, and a target price or EPS
consensus you noted from Atom will not match any replacement here to the cent. That is not an error.
[Why consensus estimates differ](https://stockmarketstack.com/guides/why-consensus-estimates-differ) explains why.

## FAQ

### When exactly did Atom Finance shut down?

Atom Finance's own notice of discontinued service said that as of 1 March 2024 it would no longer support its web and mobile apps, and that users kept access until 29 February 2024. The notice is undated; the Internet Archive first captured it on 18 April 2024.

### Did Atom Finance close as a company?

Not on the day. The same notice said Atom Finance continued to support its business clients, the brokers and platforms that embedded its research tools through its APIs. What closed was the consumer app sold to individual investors.

### Were Atom subscribers refunded?

The notice promised it. Monthly subscribers were to get a prorated refund of any payment made after 1 February 2024, annual subscribers a prorated refund from 29 February to the end of their term, paid by Atom for web and Android sign-ups and by Apple for iOS ones.

### Is there one app that replaces Atom?

No. Atom was a research terminal, a portfolio aggregator and a news feed in one subscription, and nothing here is all three. The list on this page is six entries because each covers a different part, and a reader who used all of it will end up with two or three accounts.
