# What to use instead of Seeking Alpha Premium

Seeking Alpha Premium is 299 dollars a year. What covers its financials, estimates, transcripts, dividend history and screens — not its ratings or picks.

## The product

Seeking Alpha is a site of investment articles written by outside contributors, with a data
product around them and a free Basic account at the door. Premium, its main subscription, is in
its help centre's words "Seeking Alpha's flagship investment research service": stock ratings and
screeners, AI tools such as Virtual Analyst Reports and Earnings Call Insights, and "in-depth
stock analysis on over 4,000 stocks and ETFs". Beside it sit PRO, a wider article service,
Investing Groups run by individual contributors, and Alpha Picks, which in the help centre's words
"gives you two top stock picks each month".

The price, read on Seeking Alpha's help centre on 8 October 2026: "Premium is currently $299 per
year, plus taxes and VAT where applicable." Its current offer pages call 299 dollars Premium's
"current list price" and Alpha Picks' 499, and add that "each subscription will auto-renew at the
then current annual list price until canceled". A separate notice to existing members, with no
date on it, says "On your next renewal date, your subscription will renew automatically at
$299/year". The help centre's cancellation page says fees are "non-refundable, unless stated
otherwise in writing", and that a cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

The data underneath is licensed. The help centre names S&P Global Market Intelligence for
"fundamentals, estimates, and Wall Street analyst ratings", says financial statements are
"standardized by S&P Capital IQ", and attributes quotes to Quodd, formerly Xignite — real-time
from Cboe BZX, delayed from the Nasdaq UTP feed. Premium gets ten years of statements, annual,
quarterly or TTM, saved as PDF or printed; free users get five. Earnings call and event
transcripts are included in Premium. A dividend tab on every payer carries yield history, yield on
cost and dividend growth history.

One scope note, once. This page does not replace Quant Ratings, Factor Grades, Dividend Grades or
Alpha Picks. They are Seeking Alpha's verdicts on securities, and this catalogue lists tools for
reaching your own. The same goes for the articles: a contributor's thesis is an opinion, not a
dataset. What follows replaces the data they sit on.

## What to use instead

Split the subscription into what you actually opened.

**The financials and the estimates.** This is the data half of the subscription, and the nearest
match is the same supplier. [TIKR](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/tikr) shows S&P Capital IQ-standardised statements and
sell-side consensus estimates over 100,000-plus listings in 92 countries; Plus at 17.95 a month,
billed yearly, gives ten years and the global screener, and Pro at 37.95 adds ten years of
transcripts and Excel export. [Koyfin](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/koyfin) reads the same Capital IQ data into
dashboards you build, with ten years of financials and estimates on Plus at 39 a month billed
yearly, and earnings-call summaries and transcript alerts on paid plans.
[Fiscal.ai](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/fiscal-ai) goes deeper on history — 20-plus annual periods, segment and KPI
data for the largest 2,300 companies — and every number its AI quotes links to the filing page it
came from.

**The free version of the same.** [StockAnalysis](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/stockanalysis) gives five fiscal years of
statements, S&P Global forecasts and dividend history with no account at all, and Pro at 79
dollars a year takes the history past ten years. That is Seeking Alpha's free-versus-Premium line
at a quarter of the price.

**The transcripts.** [Quartr](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/quartr) is free on iOS and Android: live and recorded calls,
real-time transcripts, slides and filings, with keyword alerts. Search across all of them at once
is its quoted Pro web app. If you want transcripts as files, the [transcripts
how-to](https://stockmarketstack.com/how-to/get-earnings-call-transcripts-as-data) covers the APIs.

**The dividend pages.** [Snowball Analytics](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/snowball-analytics) puts the payout calendar,
forward income and yield on cost on your own portfolio rather than one ticker at a time, over
70-plus exchanges. It sells a dividend rating of its own; the history works without it.

**The ownership and the news.** For who is buying, [OpenInsider](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/openinsider) is every Form
4 within minutes of EDGAR, screened on 40 fields, free. For news on a watchlist,
[TickerTick](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/tickertick) is a free, keyless API over US stock news with a small query
language — a feed you assemble rather than one an editor curates.

## What you give up

**The contributors and the comments.** Most of what Seeking Alpha is, by volume, is articles and
the arguments under them — analysis on over 4,000 stocks and ETFs by the help centre's count.
Nothing here replaces that, and the catalogue does not try: it is opinion, and some of it is very
good.

**One tab per stock.** Statements, estimates, transcripts and the dividend history sat on one
symbol page for one bill. The cheapest rebuild — StockAnalysis Pro at 79 dollars and Quartr's free
app — costs less than 299 dollars, but it is two products, two logins and two sets of tickers.
TIKR or Koyfin alone puts most of it back on one page and costs more than Premium once you want
transcripts and history together.

**A screen on Seeking Alpha's own grades.** Premium's screener is built around Quant Ratings,
Factor Grades and author ratings. The screeners on TIKR, Koyfin and StockAnalysis filter on the
numbers. If the grade was the filter, that is the part you are giving up — on purpose.

## Migration notes

**Cancel before the renewal date, not after.** Every Seeking Alpha subscription auto-renews, fees
are non-refundable, and a cancellation only stops the next renewal. A paid trial renews at the
regular rate unless cancelled before it ends.

**Export the portfolio first.** The help centre documents a Download button on each portfolio that
saves an Excel .xlsx file. For trades and cost basis, your broker's export is the better source.

**Expect the same numbers from the same supplier, and different ones elsewhere.** Seeking Alpha,
TIKR and Koyfin all read S&P Capital IQ, and StockAnalysis uses S&P Global for its first ten
years, so a margin or a free cash flow figure should match among them. Fiscal.ai standardises its
own, and StockAnalysis swaps supplier past ten years. Check one company you know before trusting a
screen — see [where research terminals get their
data](https://stockmarketstack.com/guides/where-research-terminals-get-their-data).

**Your grades and ratings stay behind.** Quant Ratings and Dividend Grades are Seeking Alpha's
content, and its data page says you may not copy or redistribute what it provides.

## FAQ

### How much does Seeking Alpha Premium cost?

299 dollars a year plus tax or VAT, according to Seeking Alpha's help centre on 8 October 2026. Its offer pages call 299 the current list price and say each subscription auto-renews at the then current annual list price until cancelled. A separate, undated notice tells existing members their next renewal will be at 299.

### Can I get a refund on Seeking Alpha Premium?

Generally not. The help centre says subscription fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in writing, that cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period, and that paid trials renew at the regular rate. The 30-day money-back guarantee it describes applies only to annual Investing Group subscriptions.

### Where does Seeking Alpha get its financial data?

From S&P Global Market Intelligence, which its help centre names for fundamentals, estimates and Wall Street ratings. Financial statements are standardised by S&P Capital IQ. Quotes come from Quodd, formerly Xignite, with real-time prices from Cboe BZX and delayed ones from the Nasdaq UTP feed.

### What do I keep on a free Seeking Alpha account?

Some of the data. The help centre says Premium and Pro subscribers get ten years of financial statements and other users get the last five. Ratings, unlimited Premium articles and the ratings screener are the paid part.

### Why does this page not replace Quant Ratings or Alpha Picks?

Because they are verdicts on securities — a buy or sell grade, or two stocks a month to buy — and this catalogue lists tools for reaching your own conclusion, not services that sell one. What can be replaced is the data the verdicts sit on.
