# TradersPost vs SignalStack: one bills per account, the other per order

Both turn an alert into an order at your broker, and neither builds the rule. The broker list decides first; after that, how often you trade sets the price.

The two cards above describe the same machine. A platform you already use — TradingView,
TrendSpider, a Zapier flow, your own script — fires an alert at a webhook URL, and the service
turns the alert into an order in your brokerage account. Neither has an editor, a backtester or a
performance report; neither offers signals of its own. Whether the rule is any good is decided
upstream, and neither page can help with that.

What differs is what you are billed for. [TradersPost](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/traderspost) charges for connected
accounts and asset classes and nothing else. [SignalStack](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/signalstack) charges for orders
successfully delivered to a live account. Those two units cross at a frequency you can count from
your own alerts, which is the point of this page — but only after the broker list, which decides
more choices than price does.

## Start with your broker

Each service connects a different list, and an alert service that cannot reach your broker is not a
cheaper option, it is no option.

- **Only SignalStack:** Charles Schwab, Lightspeed, Lime, Public and Trading212; forex and CFD
brokers — Oanda, Forex.com, FXOpen, Capital.com; MetaTrader 5 and cTrader bridges; futures
through Ironbeam and Optimus Futures. TradersPost lists forex as a waiting list.
- **Only TradersPost:** NinjaTrader and ProjectX for futures, Crypto.com, and 29 prop firms.
- **Both:** Interactive Brokers, TradeStation, Alpaca, Tradier, tastytrade, E*TRADE, Robinhood,
Webull, Tradovate, Coinbase, Kraken, Binance and Bybit.

If you are on [TrendSpider](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/trendspider), SignalStack is already the route its strategy bots
use, and a free SignalStack account comes with the subscription for manual orders; automated
execution past five orders a month is billed on SignalStack's ladder. Choosing TradersPost there
means a second path for something the platform already wires up.

## Convert your alerts into each vendor's unit

SignalStack meters signals, and a signal is an order the broker accepted. An accepted limit order
counts whether or not it fills, an order the broker rejects does not, and unused signals expire at
the end of each month. A round trip — an entry and an exit — is two signals. Paper and demo accounts
are not metered at all.

TradersPost meters nothing per order. Starter, at $49 a month, is one live account and one asset
class, where stocks, options, futures and crypto each count as a class; an extra live account is
$10 a month on any plan. The ceiling it does have is on the webhook: 60 requests a minute and 500 an
hour before it answers with an error.

Put one strategy, on one account, in one asset class, through both ladders:

- **Up to 5 live orders a month** — a couple of round trips: SignalStack Free, $0.
- **6 to 50 a month** — up to about 25 round trips, a little over one a trading day: SignalStack
Basic at $27 a month, or $270 a year, against TradersPost Starter at $49, or $499.80 a year.
- **51 to 250 a month**: SignalStack Premium at $97 against TradersPost Starter at $49. From here
on, the flat price wins and the gap widens with every order.
- **Above 250**: SignalStack Pro, $340 a month for 1,000, against the same $49.

Two things move the crossover. **Several accounts following one alert** multiply the order count
on SignalStack — each order to each account is a signal — and add $10 a month per extra live
account on TradersPost, so a second account usually tips it towards TradersPost sooner. **Several
asset classes** cost nothing extra on SignalStack and push TradersPost from Starter to Basic at $99
for two, or Pro at $199 for three, which is where a low-frequency trader of stocks and options
finds SignalStack cheaper for longer.

All figures are each vendor's monthly price unless marked; TradersPost's yearly billing takes 15%
off, SignalStack's annual prices are the ones quoted above. Both cards were verified on
7 October 2026.

## What neither price includes

**The delay upstream.** TradersPost's own FAQ says TradingView webhooks arrive anywhere from two or
three seconds to more than a minute late, and that strategies on charts below one minute are not
supported. That delay is the signal source's, and it applies equally whichever service receives
the alert.

**A failed order.** TradersPost's known-limitations page says failed orders are never retried, and
that an order accepted and later rejected by the broker may produce no failure email. SignalStack's
terms cap its liability at $100 or the last 12 months' fees, whichever is lower. Either way, a
dropped alert is your loss to carry, and the check is your broker's order history, not the
service's dashboard.

**Options spreads.** TradersPost places directional options only — calls or puts in place of
shares — and nothing multi-leg. SignalStack's order types are listed per broker, and its card
records nothing multi-leg either. A spread strategy belongs on [Option Alpha](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/option-alpha),
which builds and runs the bot itself.

**A way to try it properly.** SignalStack's free plan never expires, and orders to paper accounts
are never counted, so a configuration can run on paper for as long as you like. TradersPost's $0
plan is a 7-day trial, after which the account is disabled, and its built-in paper broker fills
limit orders at any price and ignores market hours — it tells you the wiring works, not what the
strategy would have done.

## The recommendation

**If your broker is on only one list, use that one.** Schwab, Public, Lightspeed and the forex
brokers mean SignalStack; NinjaTrader, ProjectX and the prop firms mean TradersPost. If you run
TrendSpider, SignalStack is already in the chain.

**Otherwise, count live orders a month across all your accounts.** Under 50, **SignalStack** —
free up to five, $27 to fifty — and it stays cheaper longer if you trade more than one asset class.
Above 50 on one account, or with the same alert copied to several accounts, **TradersPost** Starter
at $49 plus $10 per extra account, because its price stops moving with your frequency and
SignalStack's does not. Work the number out from last month's alerts, not from how often you
intend to trade; a busy month on SignalStack's ladder is the one that costs the most.

## FAQ

### Is TradersPost or SignalStack cheaper for my strategy?

Count live orders a month across every account, entries and exits both. Up to 5, SignalStack's free plan. From 6 to 50, SignalStack Basic at $27 a month. Above 50 on one account and one asset class, TradersPost Starter at $49 is cheaper than SignalStack Premium at $97, and it does not rise with frequency. Fifty orders is about 25 round trips, a little over one a trading day.

### Which one works with Charles Schwab, NinjaTrader or a prop firm?

Schwab is on SignalStack's list and not on TradersPost's sixteen connections; so are Lightspeed, Lime, Public, Trading212 and the forex brokers Oanda, Forex.com, FXOpen and Capital.com. NinjaTrader, ProjectX and 29 prop firms are on TradersPost's list and not on SignalStack's. If your broker is on only one list, that settles it before price does.

### Can I test either one without paying?

SignalStack, indefinitely — orders to paper and demo accounts are not counted on any plan, and the free plan includes 5 live orders a month. TradersPost has a 7-day trial and then disables the account until you pay, and its built-in paper broker fills limit orders at any price, so it checks configuration rather than results.

### Can either place an options spread?

Not TradersPost, whose options support is directional — buying calls or puts instead of shares — with spreads and multi-leg orders unsupported. SignalStack's order types depend on each broker and its card records none that are multi-leg. For spreads built and run in one place, Option Alpha is the card in this category.
