# CrossTrade

TradingView alerts into NinjaTrader 8 and Tradovate, plus copier, risk limits and journal.

**Best for:** futures traders on NinjaTrader 8 or Tradovate whose rule already fires as a TradingView alert and who want copying, account limits and a journal from one vendor; not for stocks at other brokers, or for writing the rule itself.

## What it is

CrossTrade is a bridge for futures traders on NinjaTrader 8 and Tradovate. You write the rule
elsewhere — almost always a TradingView alert or strategy — and point its webhook at a permanent
CrossTrade URL; the CrossTrade add-on inside NinjaTrader 8, or CrossTrade's cloud for a linked
Tradovate account, turns the message into an order. The vendor quotes about 30 milliseconds from
TradingView to the platform. A TradingView strategy can also be kept in sync by position state
rather than by single alerts, so a dropped message is corrected rather than left open.

Around that it has grown a kit for the trader running several accounts — often prop-firm
accounts, in the vendor's own examples: a trade copier between accounts in one NT8 instance, an account manager that enforces
session profit and loss limits, trailing drawdown, trading windows and kill switches, a journal
that imports NT8 fills daily and reports an Edge Score with Monte Carlo runs, and a browser trading
dashboard with a chart and chart-based order entry. Elite adds Signal Share, which copies your own
trades between separate NT8 installations — NT8 allows one Rithmic login per instance — and an MCP
server.

The trading disclaimer is explicit that CrossTrade does not provide signals and does not select or
rank signal sources. It carries the rule you wrote; it does not write one.

## Pricing

Three paid plans, all with unlimited alerts and accounts. Standard at $29 a month covers one machine:
webhooks, the journal and the manual trading dashboard. Pro at $49 adds the trade copier, the
account manager, the REST API at 180 requests a minute, and alert delivery to email, Discord,
Telegram or a webhook. Elite at $99 adds Signal Share, the MCP server and the management API.
Yearly billing is $279, $469 and $949. Every plan has a 7-day trial; there are no refunds. A
Chicago Windows VPS with NT8 preinstalled is a separate subscription. On 24 October the page still
carried a July "25% off annual plans" sale banner above prices it calls standard rates, so check
the price at checkout.

The trial does not turn into a subscription on its own. When it ends, or when a paid plan lapses,
the account becomes the Free plan: the journal and its history stay, and Tradovate trades can be
added by CSV, but automatic import stops and nothing routes an order. That is the free tier, and
it is a journal, not a bridge.

## Data & coverage

Futures, through whatever NinjaTrader 8 or Tradovate account you connect — live, demo, simulation,
and prop-firm evaluation and funded accounts alike. CrossTrade says what each prop firm allows on
automation and copiers varies and is the trader's to check. The REST API returns real-time quotes
and positions from the connected platform.

## Integrations

TradingView in, NinjaTrader 8 and Tradovate out. On Tradovate the docs call webhooks, the account
manager, the copier, the journal, the REST API and AI agents generally available, with two
qualifications: the copier's order mode, which mirrors working orders, is in beta, and copying
between accounts under different Tradovate logins or between demo and live is "still being
validated"; one login, same environment, is the validated setup. The REST API on Pro covers orders, positions,
balances, quotes and a websocket stream with bearer-token auth; the management API on Elite
controls copiers, monitors and kill switches from your own code. An invite-only Partner Program
offers the APIs to businesses for Tradovate only. There is an Android app, in open testing on Google
Play, that reaches the NT8 installation on your PC or VPS, and a set of free open-source TradingView indicators.

## Limitations

- **Two platforms only.** Without NinjaTrader 8 or Tradovate there is nothing to route to; stock
traders at other brokers are better served by [TradersPost](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/traderspost).
- **NT8 has to be running.** On NinjaTrader the add-on executes on your own machine or a VPS, so a
  closed PC means no orders.
- **No backtesting and no rule builder.** The rule's quality is TradingView's business; the journal's
Monte Carlo runs work on trades already made.
- **No refunds**, and the sale banner on the pricing page was out of date when read.
- **An AI agent on Elite can place real orders.** The vendor's own FAQ says never to leave one
  unsupervised in a live account.

## Alternatives

[PickMyTrade](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/pickmytrade) is the closest product, also TradingView to futures and prop
accounts, priced per login. [TradersPost](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/traderspost) covers more brokers and asset
classes at a higher price. [SignalStack](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/signalstack) bills per order sent instead of a flat
fee. If you want NinjaTrader's own strategy language instead of TradingView's, the platform itself
is [NinjaTrader](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/ninjatrader).

## FAQ

### How much does CrossTrade cost?

Standard is $29 a month, Pro $49 and Elite $99, or $279, $469 and $949 billed yearly, on the pricing page read on 24 October 2026. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial that does not convert to a paid plan by itself, and there are no refunds on paid plans. A Chicago Windows VPS is a separate subscription.

### Is there a free CrossTrade plan?

Only for the journal. When the trial or a subscription ends the account drops to the Free plan, where the journal and its history stay readable and Tradovate trades can still be added by CSV import. Webhooks, the copier, the account manager and automatic import all need a paid plan.

### Does CrossTrade provide trading signals?

No. Its trading disclaimer says it does not provide signals, does not select, rank or promote traders or signal sources, and gives no investment advice. The signal is whatever your TradingView alert sends; Signal Share only copies your own trades between your own NinjaTrader 8 installations.

### Do I need NinjaTrader running for CrossTrade to work?

For NinjaTrader 8, yes — the CrossTrade add-on runs inside NT8 on your PC or a VPS and does the executing there. Tradovate is different — you link the account by OAuth and the webhooks, copier and account limits run in CrossTrade's cloud with nothing installed.

### Can an AI agent place trades through CrossTrade?

On Elite, yes. The MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client query account state, place orders and manage strategies within OAuth scopes you grant, and you can revoke a client's token at any time. CrossTrade's own FAQ warns that models hallucinate and that you remain responsible for every trade an agent places.
