## What it is

Jigsaw daytradr is a Windows desktop platform built around the Depth & Sales ladder — a DOM with
the tape alongside it, plus Auction Vista, a reconstructed tape, footprint and reversal-footprint
charts and a market profile. The job is reading the book on one or two futures contracts, not
covering a universe: there is no screener and no scanner anywhere in the product, at any price.

Since V7, dated 14 August 2026, the Journalytix journal renders inside the app as widgets rather
than on the website, so fills, the trade calendar and the analytics sit in the same window as the
ladder instead of a browser tab.

## Pricing

Two purchases, and a third that Jigsaw does not bill.

daytradr Independent is 579 dollars once. The product page calls that tier Foundation and the
checkout calls it Independent; it is the same SKU. It buys the platform, the Journalytix
analytics, the simulator and a free foundations course, and it trades **sim and demo only**. Live
exchange-routed trading turns on with Active Trader at 50 dollars a month or 500 a year, which
also carries Market Intelligence Edge and the applied course. V7 added one exemption: Rithmic and
Tradovate prop-firm evaluation and funded accounts now run without a live licence.

Then the feed, which is the line most quotes of this product leave out. Jigsaw sells no market
data. You bring Rithmic, CQG, Tradovate, StoneX, NinjaTrader or [IQFeed](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/iqfeed), and that
vendor bills the subscription and the CME exchange fees on top. A reader who wants live CME depth
is paying 579 once, 50 a month to Jigsaw, and a third bill neither figure includes. The vendor's
own comparison, dated July 2026, puts daytradr at 579 dollars against Sierra Chart at 2,736 and
Bookmap Global+ at 3,924 — but read its stated basis. It bills itself as three-year cost of
ownership assuming sim or paid sim for the first 18 months and fully live for the remaining 18,
and the 579 still excludes the Active Trader subscription — 900 dollars across those 18 live
months — that Jigsaw itself requires in order to trade live.

The education is priced separately and upward. daytradr Institutional is 1,879 dollars once and is
mostly course — it folds in the 1,547-dollar institutional training and a year of Active Trader.
That course also sells standalone at 1,547 with no software attached. The 14-day money-back
guarantee is explicit that it covers the 579 dollars of software and not the education.

Market Intelligence sells on its own too: Edge at 50 dollars a month or 500 a year, Alpha at 200 a
month or 2,000 a year, both 1 dollar for the first 14 days. Alpha is dated late September 2026 and
is not out yet.

## Data & coverage

Nothing native. Through a broker the platform supports ASX, BMF Bovespa, Cboe, CME Group, ICE,
Eurex, HKEX, JPX, Nasdaq and NYSE, covering all futures instruments, exchange-traded spreads and
US stocks — but which of those you actually get is the broker's decision, not Jigsaw's. Market
Replay is Tradovate connections only, and it is a replay, not a backtest.

## Integrations

Data and execution come from Rithmic, CQG, Tradovate, StoneX or IQFeed. daytradr also attaches
directly to Interactive Brokers TWS, [NinjaTrader](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/ninjatrader) 8 and MT5, so it can sit in
front of a platform you already run rather than replacing it. V7 added support for the new IB TWS
API and a NinjaTrader connection; a trade copier is promised for the next release.

## Limitations

- Windows 8 64-bit and above only. macOS needs an emulator such as Parallels, and the vendor
  states that Apple Silicon Macs and Windows 11 ARM are not supported at all.
- The 579-dollar licence is a simulator licence. Live trading costs 50 a month more unless you are
  on a Rithmic or Tradovate prop account.
- No API, no scripting language, no Python. Strategy Manager attaches exit brackets to a fill and
  manages them; it does not run a strategy.
- No screener, no scanner, no backtester.
- Market Replay works on Tradovate connections only, so the practice tool depends on which broker
  you signed with.
- Options analytics — gamma exposure, options positioning — belong to Market Intelligence Alpha,
  which was dated late September 2026 and had not shipped when this was checked.
