## What it is

Portseido tracks holdings that are scattered across brokers, countries and currencies. You import
a trade history and it reports what the position is worth, what the return actually was — time-
weighted and money-weighted, benchmarked against an index of your choice in your own base
currency — and how the money is allocated by sector, industry and asset class. Since April 2026
it also breaks each position into purchase lots, with cost basis and holding days per lot under
FIFO, LIFO or average.

Dividends get a module rather than a column: automatic detection from imported trades, a forward
calendar, projected annual income, yield on cost and year-over-year growth, split out by holding,
sector or currency. It is one of four pillars, though — an income investor gets a good dividend
view inside a general tracker, not a dividend-first product.

## Pricing

Free is one portfolio and 100 transactions in total. Plus at $10 a month lifts the transaction cap
and leaves you on a single portfolio; multiple portfolios start at Pro, $15 a month. Annual
billing makes those $96 and $144 a year. Fourteen-day trial, no card.

## Data & coverage

Stocks, ETFs, mutual funds and crypto, across 60 to 70 exchanges depending on which of the
vendor's own pages you read. No options: the vendor's own ticker search returns nothing for a
contract symbol and the import format has no field for one. Custom assets cover real estate,
vehicles and collectibles, but you assign the ticker and type in every price yourself — there is no
feed behind them. Each portfolio has a base currency with FX gain and loss tracked automatically,
and cash can optionally be held in several currencies. Prices refresh daily; this is a valuation screen, not a
quote screen.

## Integrations

Two live connections — Interactive Brokers and Trading 212 — and file import for the rest of the
advertised 100-plus brokers, with export instructions in the help centre for roughly fifty named
ones. A Google Sheet can be attached as the transaction source instead. For a statement in an
unsupported layout, a PDF or a screenshot, the docs hand you a prompt to run through your own AI
assistant and tell you to check the rows it returns.

## Limitations

- The free cap is 100 transactions ever, not per month or per year.
- One portfolio until the $15 tier; the $10 tier buys transactions, not portfolios.
- Re-importing is the normal workflow for almost every broker; the vendor suggests monthly.
- No capital-gains tax report for any jurisdiction, no alerts, no news, no public API.
- The marketing pages claim CSV-only and no trading API access, which the help centre's own broker
  connection pages contradict.

## FAQ

### How is the Portseido free tier capped?

At 100 transactions in total and one portfolio. The count is cumulative, not monthly, so a few years of trade history can exhaust it during the first import rather than after months of use. Everything else — reports, automatic dividends and splits — is included.

### Does Portseido connect to a broker automatically?

For two of them. Interactive Brokers works through IBKR's third-party reports (account ID, token and query ID) and Trading 212 through an API key you generate yourself. Every other broker on the supported list is a file upload, and the IBKR connection only carries data from the day you enable it — past trades still need an XML upload.

### Is Portseido a dividend tracker or a general portfolio tracker?

A general tracker with a serious dividend module. You get automatic dividend detection, a forward calendar, projected twelve-month income, yield on cost and year-over-year growth — but alongside allocation, benchmarked returns and per-lot trade analysis, not as the centre of the product.

### Can Portseido produce a tax report?

Nothing in its help centre documents one. It handles dividend withholding tax as a portfolio setting and computes cost basis under FIFO, LIFO or weighted average, which is a starting point for an accountant rather than a filing for any jurisdiction.
