## What it is

A German-run site that puts three disclosure feeds behind one navigation bar: what around sixty
named investors reported owning, what members of Congress reported trading, and what company
insiders filed. Then a screener, an earnings calendar, ETF pages and — unusually for this
category — the CFTC's Commitments of Traders reports.

The appeal is the breadth at the price. Most tools here do one filing type well;
[OpenInsider](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/openinsider) is Form 4, [13F.info](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/13f-info) is 13F,
[Capitol Trades](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/capitol-trades) is congressional. Stockcircle is the cheap way to watch all
three from one page, and at $99 a year it undercuts everything except the free tools.

The thing to know before buying is where the data comes from. The footer credits Financial
Modeling Prep, so this is a front end over a licensed feed rather than an independent pipeline.

## Pricing

Free browsing with no account, and Pro at $16.49 a month or $99 a year — the annual price is the
one the page sells, at roughly $8.25 a month.

What Pro removes is caps rather than datasets: unlimited trade history, the full screener, alerts
and no advertising. What the free view actually allows is not written down anywhere, which is the
one real gap in the pricing page. Plan on the annual price if the tool matters to you.

## Data & coverage

US filings only. The 13F side tracks a curated roster of about sixty investors rather than every
filer, which is the same editorial choice [Dataroma](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/dataroma) makes and the opposite of
[13F.info](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/13f-info)'s everybody-who-filed approach. Congressional coverage runs to
per-politician pages for the names people search for. Insider data is Forms 3 and 4.

Absent: Schedule 13D and 13G, lobbying, short interest, government contracts, and anything
outside the US.

History depth is not published, and the quarter tabs visible without an account reach back about
a year. Since deeper history is precisely what Pro sells, that is the number the page should carry
and does not.

## Limitations

- **It is a UI over Financial Modeling Prep's feed.** Nothing wrong with that, but it caps what
can be fixed when the data is wrong, and it means the same data is available a layer down.
- **No API, no CSV export.** Browser only.
- **The free tier's limits are undocumented,** so what you are upgrading from is unclear until you
  hit a wall.
- **History depth is unstated** on a product whose paid feature is history.
- **Roughly sixty investors is a selection, not the filing universe.** For a fund that is not on
the list, this tool has nothing.
- **The blog's last post was November 2024** while the product data is current to the third
quarter of 2026 — a small shop with the data pipeline running and the marketing stopped.

## Alternatives

[Dataroma](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/dataroma) covers 83 value investors free, with twenty years of history and no
congressional or insider data. [HedgeFollow](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/hedgefollow) is the closest paid match — 13F,
Form 4 and congressional filings in one place, from $15 a month, with far more funds.
[Capitol Trades](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/capitol-trades) does the congressional third better and free.
[Quiver Quantitative](https://stockmarketstack.com/tools/quiver-quantitative) is the one to take if the requirement is an API
rather than a page. The rest of the category is at
[insider, 13F and congressional trade trackers](https://stockmarketstack.com/categories/insider-13f-trackers).

## FAQ

### What does Stockcircle actually cover?

Three disclosure sets in one interface — 13F portfolios for around 60 tracked investors, congressional trades with House, Senate and per-politician pages, and Forms 3 and 4 insider transactions. Around them sit a stock screener, an earnings calendar, ETF pages and the CFTC Commitments of Traders reports. There is no Schedule 13D or 13G, no lobbying and no short interest.

### Is there a free tier, and what does it leave out?

Yes, and its limits are not published. You can browse portfolios, congressional trades and transactions without an account, and a free signup adds a monthly recap email. The Pro page sells unlimited trade history, the full screener and alerts, which implies the free view is capped on all three — by how much, the site does not say.

### Whose data is this?

Financial Modeling Prep's, credited in the site's own footer alongside FRED for Treasury data. Stockcircle is an interface over a licensed feed rather than its own filing pipeline, which matters for two things — what can break without warning, and whether you are better off buying the feed directly.

### Is there an API or a CSV export?

Neither is advertised anywhere on the site. If the destination is your own code rather than a browser tab, this is the wrong product, and the underlying data is available from the provider it licenses.

### How quickly do new filings appear?

The vendor promises an email immediately when a tracked investor reports a transaction to the SEC, and publishes no numeric latency for any of the three datasets. The binding constraint is the filing rule rather than the site — a 13F is up to 45 days after quarter end, a congressional report up to 45 days after the trade.
