Ask for a ticker, get back news items with a source, an Eastern-time stamp, the tickers mentioned and a sentiment label. It is run by Snapi LLC, a Florida company that also operates Crypto News API, Forex News API and Fundamentals API as separate sites on separate subscriptions. What it deliberately does not carry is the articles. The vendor says it does not index full article text, for copyright reasons, so an item is a headline, a link, an image and metadata — which means a reader built on this sends people away to the source, and a model trained on it is trained on titles. Around the two news endpoints sit a dozen others, most of them Premium: top mentioned tickers, a daily sentiment statistic, clustered events, trending headlines, a polled headline feed in beta, an earnings calendar, broker upgrades and downgrades with price targets, and Sundown Digest, an evening wrap published weekdays at 7pm Eastern. ## Pricing Two self-serve plans, both month-to-month — the page says "See below our monthly plans" and carries no annual toggle and no annual discount to misread. Basic is 19.99 dollars for 20,000 calls a month, Premium 49.99 dollars for 50,000, Business is quoted. Volume is not the only difference. Historical data, the all-ticker feed, top mentions, trending headlines and events, and upgrades and downgrades all sit in the Premium column of the feature matrix, and Basic stops at page 5 of any result set — 500 items. The pricing page itself recommends Basic for students and non-commercial projects. ## Data & coverage US-listed tickers. The exchange filter accepts NASDAQ, NYSE, AMEX and BATS and nothing else, the index filter is eleven US indices, and the 54-country filter selects where a company is domiciled rather than where it trades. The FAQ answers a direct question about German, Indian, UK and Canadian news with a flat no, while allowing that some Canadian and European stocks are covered — the focus is the US market. The number of sources depends on which of the vendor's own pages you read. The documentation's source list has 75 rows and 74 distinct names, from Reuters, CNBC and the Wall Street Journal down to Penny Stocks and The Dog of Wall Street; the homepage counter says 50-plus; the FAQ says 30-plus. Claimed volume is 50,000 articles and 2,500 videos a month, including over 5,000 press releases from the wires. Sentiment is simpler than the phrase suggests, and to the vendor's credit the FAQ says so plainly — keyword analysis over the title and sub-title, with anything not clearly positive or negative flagged neutral. ## Integrations Plain GET requests with the token in the query string, JSON back, `&datatype=csv` for a CSV download, and 1 to 100 items per request. There is no official client library in any language, and nothing sits on PyPI or npm under the obvious names. No webhooks and no MCP server either — the headline alerts endpoint is a feed you poll, not an alert that reaches you. Top mentions and the sentiment statistic are cached for an hour unless you add `&cache=false`. ## Limitations - No free tier. The one-time 5-day, 100-call trial converts to a paid month unless you cancel: section 3.1 charges the payment method on file for the plan you chose — and promises a notice 7 days before a 5-day trial ends, which cannot arrive. - No full article text at any price, and no per-item scores — sentiment is one of three labels. - Redistribution is yours to clear. Section 2.4 makes complying with each source's terms the buyer's responsibility, which in practice means a text-only link with attribution, and sublicensing the API to a third party is forbidden outright. - US markets only, and a Basic key is a feed rather than an archive. - No uptime guarantee below Business. The status page showed 99.93% over the 30 days to 13 September 2026 on the three monitored news endpoints, but that is a report, not an SLA. - The edges are unattended.
