## What it is

TrendSpider is a browser-based technical analysis platform whose pitch is that the chart draws
itself: trendlines, Fibonacci levels and chart patterns are detected automatically across
multiple timeframes rather than dragged by hand. Around that sit a real-time market scanner,
a point-and-click backtester, cloud alerts and no-code strategy bots.

The job most people buy it for is scanning — finding setups without writing the screen by hand,
then handing the match to an alert or a bot. Charting is the surface you land on; the scanner,
the Strategy Tester and the bots are what the tiers actually meter.

## Pricing

Four plans, billed monthly at $82, $137, $183 and $321, all with identical features and market
data. What differs is capacity, and the number that matters is the timeframe floor: Standard
scans and backtests no finer than two-hour bars, Premium five minutes, Enhanced and Advanced one
minute. A day trader is on a $183 plan whether the marketing implies it or not.

Annual billing discounts these, and a sale was running on 13 September 2026 advertising up to
45% off the first twelve months — promotional pricing that excludes add-ons and data feeds and
is non-refundable. There is no free plan; the trial costs $19 to $49 for 14 days.

## Data & coverage

Real-time US equities, ETFs, forex and crypto are included for non-professionals, which is the
genuine cost advantage here — most competitors bill exchange fees separately. Futures add
$7.50 a month, OPRA options $9.50, and self-certified professionals owe NASDAQ $29. OTC and some
index feeds are delayed up to 15 minutes.

The catalogue runs to roughly 61,000 assets: US-listed stocks and ETFs, US options, CME-complex
futures, 3,200-plus forex pairs and 28,000 crypto pairs. Backtests reach 50-plus years of
history where the symbol has it, but each test is capped by candle count — 2,000 on Standard,
30,000 on Advanced.

## Integrations

Alerts and strategy bots post to webhooks, which is how anything leaves the platform. Broker
connections run through SignalStack: a free SignalStack account comes with the subscription for
manual order entry, and automated execution is capped at five orders a month before you pay
SignalStack separately. Custom indicators are written in JavaScript inside the platform.

## Limitations

- **No public data API.** The JavaScript layer builds indicators inside TrendSpider; you cannot
  pull its data out into your own code. CSV export covers backtest results, the options map
  and watch lists.
- **No non-US listed equities.** No LSE, TSX, Euronext or Asian single stocks, at any tier.
- **The cheap plan cannot day trade.** A two-hour scanning floor on the $82 plan makes it a
  swing-trading product, and the gap to a one-minute floor is $101 a month.
- **Automated execution is a second bill.** Five free orders a month, then SignalStack pricing.
- **No portfolio tracking or tax reporting.** This is an analysis and execution-timing tool, not
  a record of what you hold.
- **Nothing is free.** Even evaluating it costs money, and the trial fee does not come back.

## Alternatives

No. There is no free tier and no free trial — the only way in is a 14-day paid trial costing $19 to $49 depending on the plan, and that trial fee is non-refundable. A full plan bought afterwards can be refunded within 72 hours, minus the trial fee.

### Is real-time data included in a TrendSpider subscription?

For non-professional traders, real-time US equities, ETFs, forex and crypto are included at no extra charge, which is unusual in this category. Futures cost $7.50 a month extra, OPRA options $9.50. Anyone who self-certifies as a professional pays a $29 monthly NASDAQ fee on top.

### Can TrendSpider scan one-minute charts?
