Advertising and paid placement

StockMarketStack catalogues 295 products across 21 categories, read by people deciding where to buy equities data and what to chart, screen or backtest it with. If one of those products is yours, there are three things you can do here. Two of them are free.

Claim your listing, free

If we have written a card about your product, confirm or correct the facts on it at no charge, now and always. A claimed card is labelled Claimed, which tells a reader that the vendor has checked the fields — not that anyone paid for anything. It is not a sales step: a correction from a vendor who will never pay us is the cheapest accuracy this catalogue gets, and we would rather have it. Claim your listing says what to put in one email.

Tell us about your affiliate program

If your product has one, send the network and the terms. Where a card carries an affiliate link, the link is labelled where it sits rather than only in a footer, and it changes nothing else on the card: not the description, not the fields, not where the card appears. The full terms are on the affiliate disclosure page.

Sponsor your listing

A sponsored listing puts your own words on the page where a reader is deciding. The card is marked Sponsored wherever it appears and gets a block headed From the vendor, which you write and we do not edit. It stays separate from our description: we never fold your copy into ours, and never write ours from it. That separation is what makes the block worth having — a reader can see which words are the vendor’s and which are the catalogue’s, and trusts both more for it.

Every sponsorship runs to a date you choose. An undated sponsorship never ends, so the catalogue does not accept one.

Who reads this

Nobody arrives here by accident. A catalogue of exchange display fees, adjusted closes and survivorship bias does not collect passers-by. A reader here is choosing a data vendor, or the platform they will chart, screen and backtest in, and is reading at the point where that choice gets made. That is the whole of what a sponsorship buys: your words in front of that reader, at that moment.

Where this stands today

Of 295 cards, 0 are sponsored, 0 carry an affiliate link, and 1 has been claimed by their vendor. Each of those is labelled on the card itself.

Audience figures and rates go out on request rather than on this page. A number printed here goes stale quietly, and a catalogue that lets one number rot has no business publishing 295 cards of them. Ask, and you get the current ones.

What to put in it

  1. What you are asking aboutA sponsored listing, your affiliate program, or something else.
  2. ProductThe product, not the company. One vendor can have several cards.
  3. Its card on this site (optional)Leave it out if the product is not catalogued yet.
  4. What you are afterIncluding when you would want it to run. For an affiliate program, the network and the terms are the useful part.
Open a draft

Claiming a listing is free. The other two get you our terms and current numbers by reply.

What happens after you write

First an initial review of the product itself, the same one a submission gets: whether it is in scope, whether it is what its own pages say it is, and whether its publisher can be identified. A sponsorship is only offered on a product that passes it. Then we reply with the terms and the current numbers, usually within a week — including when the answer is no.

How cards are researched in the first place is on the methodology page.
