AnyStock

What it is

AnyStock is the financial member of AnyChart's four-product family, and the only one in it aimed at price series. Fourteen series types — candlestick, OHLC, HiLo, range area, stick, jump line and the usual line and area family — with multiple stacked plots, a scroller strip under the chart, a preset range picker and automatic data grouping as you zoom out. The documentation's Technical Indicators overview names 36 of them, running from the Accumulation Distribution Line through Ichimoku, KDJ and Rank Correlation Index to Williams %R — though the page titled "Supported Technical Indicators", which calls itself "the full list", names 37: it drops the Awesome Oscillator and adds a Running and a Smoothed moving average. Count on the mid-thirties and check the one you need by name. The drawing-tools section adds 18 annotation types, including four Fibonacci tools and Andrew's Pitchfork.

Rendering is SVG, with a legacy VML renderer still carried in anychart-bundle.min.js and the core builds. The standalone anychart-stock.min.js build is 256 KB minified and 71 KB gzipped — larger than a canvas renderer, smaller than Highcharts Stock with its indicator modules loaded.

Release cadence is slow. Version 8.14.1 went to npm on 19 January 2026, and the last commit on the public repository's master is the same day — nothing has been published in the eight months since. Before that, 8.14.0 landed in November 2025, 8.13.1 in June 2025 and 8.13.0 in September 2024: four releases in two years.

Pricing

Per product, per registered domain, per fixed developer count, in US dollars. A Website licence is $139 for one developer and is explicitly void if the site requires "any type of login". Internal is $799 for two applications behind the firewall, and only for companies under 100 employees. SaaS is $499 a year for ten developers, or $1,499 once for the perpetual equivalent. Next Unicorn at $49 is a pre-revenue startup discount that lasts exactly one year before reverting to the standard SaaS annual fee.

Upgrade windows are the second axis and they are short — three months on Website, one year on Internal and SaaS annual, two years on SaaS perpetual. Renewing upgrades on an Internal licence afterwards costs $599 a year, which is most of the original purchase price. Support is two hours, once, on every tier except Next Unicorn — where the store table says one hour and the licence page says two.

Redistributing AnyStock inside software your customers install, or running it on premises, is an OEM licence, quoted privately. So is Enterprise. Neither figure is published.

Data & coverage

None. AnyStock renders arrays you supply and knows nothing about symbols, exchanges or sessions; its data adapter reads CSV, JSON, XML, an HTML table or a Google Spreadsheet, and a market-data provider is a separate budget line.

Integrations

anychart on npm, plus per-product standalone builds and a CDN. Official wrappers and templates exist for React, Angular, Vue, Qlik and a long list of server-side stacks, and the integration examples are Apache-2.0 even though the library is not. Export is first-party and unusually complete for a chart library — PNG, JPG, SVG and PDF for the picture, CSV, XLSX, JSON and XML for the data.

Limitations

• The free build is watermarked and there is no free commercial tier. Credits sit in the bottom-right corner of every chart and credits.enabled(false) is documented as working only once a licence key is registered.
• Four products, four licences. Wanting a pie chart next to your candlesticks is a second purchase at the same price.
• Domain locking is administrative, not technical. You register a domain at checkout and email the vendor to change it, which makes preview deployments and per-customer subdomains a conversation rather than a config change.
• The Website tier's "no authentication" rule is absolute. Adding a login to an existing marketing site moves you from $139 to $499 a year.
• Slow releases. Nothing published in the last eight months, and four releases in two years. If you need a bug fixed, the cadence is what you are buying into.
• Nothing about the licence terms is machine-checkable. The npm license field is a pointer to a web page, the repository's README says only "All rights reserved", and the detailed terms live on seven separate sales pages.

Alternatives

Highcharts Stock is the closest commercial competitor — also per-seat, also SVG, with 48 indicators and a free personal tier you can simply take — AnyChart's non-commercial equivalent is granted by request, through a form. amCharts 5 Stock Chart is free with a branding link even in commercial products, which is a materially different bargain. KLineChart and Lightweight Charts are Apache-2.0 and cost nothing at all, with a smaller feature surface to match.
