Tradervue vs TraderSync vs TradeZella: your broker chooses before the price does
Each one syncs a different short list of brokers, and the three entry prices buy different things. Which broker you use usually settles it.
The category's oldest journal, 81 supported brokers, and a free tier that still works.
Options-first trade journal - multi-leg spreads classified on import, replay to 250ms.
Auto-synced trade journal with bar-by-bar replay, backtesting and AI session review.
The three cards above show entry prices of $29.95, $29.95 and $35, which makes this look like a choice about $5. It is not. Each journal syncs automatically with a different short list of brokers. Each entry price buys a different set of features: Tradervue charges extra for fee handling, TraderSync for replay speed, and TradeZella for more than one account and for replaying your own trades. Check your broker first, then compare prices.
Start with your broker
All three advertise hundreds of supported brokers, and most of those are file formats you export and upload yourself. The list that matters is the short one each vendor marks as automatic, and the three lists differ:
- Interactive Brokers, Schwab, TradeStation, Tradovate. These sync automatically at TraderSync and TradeZella. At Tradervue they are an export and an upload.
- Tastytrade. Only TraderSync syncs it. TradeZella lists it as file upload only, and so does Tradervue.
- Robinhood. Only TradeZella syncs it. TraderSync and Tradervue list it without automatic import.
- DAS Trader Pro. Only Tradervue syncs it. Tradervue also marks CMEG, SpeedTrader and PropReports as automated. Those are direct-access and prop-desk platforms, and they are the main reason Tradervue's list is shaped differently from the other two.
- NinjaTrader. All three sync it, though Tradervue does it through a third-party plugin.
- Webull, Fidelity, E*TRADE. None of the three syncs these. Each one reads a file you export.
If your broker is in the last group, automatic sync does not separate these products, and you are choosing on price and reports alone. The Tradervue and TradeZella lists were rechecked on the vendors' own pages on 3 October 2026. The TraderSync list comes from its card, verified on 14 September, because its site blocked automated reading today.
Three entry prices that buy different things
- Tradervue Silver, $29.95 a month, with no annual price. It gives you unlimited imports and accounts, and options, futures and forex. P&L is gross: commission and fee support is a Gold feature, along with exit analysis and risk reports. So Tradervue's price for net P&L is $49.95.
- TraderSync Pro, $29.95 a month or $269.52 a year (about $22.46 a month). It allows five accounts and five AI messages a day, and options spreads are detected on import. Its tiers differ by accounts, strategy plans, AI messages and replay precision. Fee handling is not one of them, and you can set default commissions per broker for brokers that do not send them.
- TradeZella Essential, $35 a month or $315 a year (about $26 a month). It allows one connected account, with no trade replay and none of the three AI agents. A trader with a taxable account and an IRA, or two brokers, needs Pro at $59.
So the cheapest month-to-month price for net P&L across more than one account is TraderSync Pro. Tradervue gets there at $49.95, and TradeZella at $59. On annual billing the order stays the same, except that Tradervue has no annual price to compare. Two other limits are easy to misread. Tradervue's free plan caps imports at 30 trades a month, not executions, so hundreds of fills that merge into fewer than 30 positions still fit. And its own FAQ says futures need a paid plan.
Replay costs more than it looks
Replay is the feature newer journals compete on, and the three products price it in different ways.
- Tradervue has no replay of any kind. It charts each trade with your entries and exits marked, and that is all.
- TradeZella keeps trade replay off Essential completely. Pro, at $59 a month or $531 a year, replays trades you actually took at one-second resolution, with Level II and time and sales. Essential does include the bar-by-bar backtester, with ten strategies. That replays the market, not your own trades.
- TraderSync prices replay by precision: one minute on Pro, one second on Premium at $49.95, and 250 milliseconds on Elite at $79.95. Level II, time and sales and the options chain inside replay are Elite only. Its pricing page contradicts itself about whether Pro includes Trade Replay: the plan card says no and the comparison table says yes. Treat Premium as the first tier where you can be sure of it.
If replaying your own fills with the order book beside them is what you are buying, TradeZella Pro is the cheapest of the three that does it. TraderSync charges $79.95 for the same order-book view.
What "options support" means at each
TraderSync is the only one of the three that puts options at the centre. Multi-leg fills go through spread detection on import on every tier, so an iron condor arrives as one position, and the reports break results down by strike, expiry and spread type. Tradervue handles US-listed options from Silver up. TradeZella journals options and has an expiry report, but its backtester does not cover options. None of the three computes greeks or implied volatility. The journal records what you did, not what the position was exposed to.
Getting your history out later
Switching journals means re-importing and re-tagging everything, so check before you commit what each one lets you take with you. Tradervue is the only one with a public API, which reads and writes trades, executions and journal notes. TraderSync and TradeZella export CSV and nothing else. TraderSync is the only one with iOS and Android apps. TradeZella and Tradervue are web only.
Check the refund terms too. TraderSync says all payments are non-refundable, so its seven-day trial is the only free look, and TradeZella has no trial at all. An annual plan bought on the first day is the expensive way to find out your broker's sync does not work as you expected.
The recommendation
Choose TraderSync if you trade multi-leg options, or if your broker is Tastytrade. Also choose it if your broker is Interactive Brokers or Schwab and you want net P&L on the cheapest plan, or if you want a phone app. Pro covers all of that. Move to Premium only for trade replay you can rely on.
Choose TradeZella if your broker is Robinhood, or if your account is on a prop-firm platform it syncs, such as Rithmic, DXtrade or TradeLocker, and replaying your own fills is the reason you want a journal. Buy Pro, not Essential. Essential has no trade replay and allows one account, and those are the two things a prop trader usually needs.
Choose Tradervue if you trade through DAS Trader Pro, CMEG, SpeedTrader or PropReports, where it is the only one of the three that syncs. Also choose it if your broker is Webull, Fidelity or E*TRADE. None of the three syncs those, so the comparison comes down to price and reports, and Tradervue's free plan or Silver plan is the cheapest way to import the files. Upgrade to Gold the day you need commissions in your P&L.
The rest of the category, including Edgewonk's one-price licence and TradesViz's larger free tier, is on the trade journals page.
FAQ
Which of Tradervue, TraderSync and TradeZella syncs with my broker automatically?
It depends on the broker, and each journal syncs a different short list. Interactive Brokers, Schwab, TradeStation and Tradovate sync at TraderSync and TradeZella and are a file upload at Tradervue. Tastytrade syncs only at TraderSync, Robinhood only at TradeZella, and DAS Trader Pro only at Tradervue. NinjaTrader syncs at all three. Webull, Fidelity and E*TRADE are a file upload at all three.
Which is cheapest if I want my P&L net of commissions?
TraderSync Pro, at $29.95 a month or $269.52 a year. Its tiers differ by accounts, AI messages and replay precision, not by fee handling, and you can set default commissions per broker. Tradervue charges $49.95 for net P&L, because commission and fee support is on Gold only, and it has no annual price. TradeZella Essential is $35, or $315 a year, but it allows one connected account.
Which one lets me replay my own trades for the least money?
TradeZella Pro, at $59 a month or $531 a year, replays the trades you took at one-second resolution, with Level II and time and sales. TradeZella's Essential plan has no trade replay. TraderSync's own pricing page contradicts itself about Trade Replay on Pro, and Level II in replay is Elite only, at $79.95. Tradervue has no replay at all.
Can I try all three before paying?
Two of the three. Tradervue has a free plan with 30 imported trades a calendar month and a 7-day trial of either paid plan; TraderSync has a 7-day trial and no refunds afterwards. TradeZella has no free plan and advertises no trial, so the cheapest look is one month of Essential at $35.
