FinancialFilings
Company filings from 60 markets as Markdown — free web index, metered API, free MCP.
Best for developers and researchers who need non-US filings — European annual reports, ad-hoc disclosures, Indian and Japanese exchange announcements — in one schema; not for a US-only reader whom EDGAR already serves free.

What it is
FinancialFilings is an index of what listed companies file with regulators and exchanges — annual and interim reports, ad-hoc disclosures, director's dealings, AGM notices, prospectuses, earnings releases and some call transcripts — collected from about 100 regulator and exchange sources into one record per filing. On 7 October 2026 the homepage counted 45,946,528 filings from 90,286 companies across 60 markets, with new filings indexed within minutes.
Each filing is kept as the original PDF and converted to Markdown, which is the product's real pitch: a 400-page annual report becomes a few thousand tokens an LLM can read. On top sits a set of standardised financial statements on a 126-line-item taxonomy, every figure linked to the filing it came from. The company grew out of a European filings site, FinancialReports.eu, and is now a Singapore company with Frankfurt-hosted infrastructure.
Pricing
Usage-metered, in credits at $0.01 each, and the price is set by the endpoint rather than the size of the response: 1 credit for metadata and search, 6 for a filing as Markdown, 12 for a "premium" filing (annual, quarterly and interim reports, earnings releases, transcripts), 40 for a company's financials. That last is flat — narrowing the call to one line item costs the same 40 as pulling every year the company has filed. Only 2xx responses are billed.
The scheme is three months old and has moved repeatedly. Credits replaced per-request billing on 13 July 2026; a 730-day history window on pay-as-you-go was lifted only on 1 October 2026; older flat-rate subscriptions survive as grandfathered plans no longer sold.
Data & coverage
The about page names the markets by regulator or exchange: the SEC, TSX and BMV in North America; FSA Japan, KRX, Shanghai, Shenzhen and HKEX; NSE and BSE in India; Tadawul; ASX and NZX; B3; and the EU, UK and EEA. The homepage claims filing history since 1995, but the same about page lists pushing history back to 2000 for annual reports and 2010 for interims across all markets as a future phase — depth varies by market, and the per-market coverage page refused automated access, so check the company you need. More than 34,000 delisted companies are kept in the index.
Every record carries two timestamps, published and added, so a point-in-time view can be rebuilt. Standardised financials run back to fiscal 1990 where filings exist.
Integrations
A typed REST API with an OpenAPI 3.1 schema, keyed by X-API-Key; responses in JSON, Markdown or
the original PDF. The Python client on PyPI is generated from that schema and published by the
vendor. The hosted MCP server is OAuth-only, and an unauthenticated request returns 401 with an
MCP protocol header; it is listed in Claude's connector directory and the ChatGPT app store and
has an MIT-licensed public repository. Email alerts on followed companies work without an
account. Webhooks and bulk S3 delivery with a parquet manifest are Enterprise.
Limitations
- Standardised financials are thinner outside US GAAP. The vendor's changelog of 16 September
2026 records that IFRS filers get 65 of the 126 line items from the filing's structured data,
against 91 for US GAAP, and twelve items have no IFRS counterpart at all. The per-line-item
confidenceandsource_pagefields are reserved and always null. - Full-text search is a web feature first. The developer overview still lists full-text search and section-level structure in the API as "coming soon".
- The pages disagree about webhooks. The pricing page calls pay-as-you-go pull-only and webhooks Enterprise; the pay-as-you-go FAQ prices a webhook delivery at 1 credit.
- Internal use only. The data cannot be displayed publicly or passed on without an Enterprise contract.
- No prices, quotes or estimates. This is the document layer; market data comes from elsewhere.
Alternatives
For US filings alone, SEC EDGAR is the free primary source and sec-api.io the parsed commercial layer over it. Quartr API covers earnings calls, decks and filings globally, quote-only. Daloopa sells extracted KPIs for an analyst's model, and EODHD standardised fundamentals for 60+ exchanges without the documents behind them.

FAQ
Is FinancialFilings the same product as FinancialReports.eu?
Yes, renamed. financialreports.eu now answers with a 301 to financialfilings.com, but the old name is still everywhere a developer looks — the API runs at api.financialreports.eu, the Python client is financial-reports-generated-client, the MCP repository is financial-reports-mcp-server, and the legal entity is FINANCIALREPORTS PTE. LTD. in Singapore.
What can I do with FinancialFilings for free?
Search and read filings on the web without an account. A free account adds the MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or Cursor and 500 API credits a month at 5 requests a minute — by the vendor's own arithmetic, 500 searches, 83 filings as Markdown, or 12 companies' complete financial histories. MCP calls draw on the same 500.
Can I republish data from FinancialFilings?
Not on a self-serve account. The terms of service, last updated 13 July 2026, license the data for internal business or academic research and prohibit reselling or redistributing the raw data and displaying it publicly without written consent. Redistribution rights are sold only on an Enterprise contract.
Is FinancialFilings worth it for US filings?
Rarely on its own. It indexes SEC filings, but the vendor's own hedge-fund page opens with the line that the US is solved and Europe is the headache. For US-only work, [SEC EDGAR](/tools/sec-edgar) is free and [sec-api.io](/tools/sec-api-io) parses deeper into SEC-specific forms.
