Quartr

What it is

Quartr is built on one narrow thing: the primary material a public company puts out around an event — the call audio, the transcript of it, the slide deck, the report, the filing — collected for 16,000-odd companies across 65-plus markets and made searchable. No news wire, no third-party analyst research; the pitch is that nothing but first-party material gets in and every AI answer traces back to a page in a source document.

It ships in two clients. The mobile app, iOS and Android, is free and needs only an account: live and recorded calls, real-time transcripts, filings, decks, consensus estimates, keyword alerts, offline audio and the AI chat. Quartr Pro is the web app, sold by seat through a sales conversation, and adds search across all transcripts, slides and filings at once, plus event summaries, slide-history comparison, dataset export and Automations — prompts that re-run the moment a company publishes. Quartr's third product, the API, has its own contracts, docs and buyers; this card does not cover it.

Pricing

Two figures, one of which does not exist.

The app is free on both stores with no in-app purchase on either, and free is not a trimmed demo: the vendor's mobile page says the full set of live calls, transcripts, filings and slide presentations costs nothing.

Quartr Pro has no published price anywhere. The pricing page offers a contact-sales form and the consumer terms say the fee is available on request. Those terms also fix the subscription period at twelve months, invoiced in advance and auto-renewing — the floor is a year, and cancelling mid-term stops the renewal, not the billing. Pro is free for student organisations and academic faculty who apply.

Data & coverage

16,000-plus companies, 65-plus markets and 50m-plus documents, per the Pro and API pages; the same site says 15,000 on the mobile page and 14,000 in the pricing FAQ, so treat it as a round number. Archive depth is the one figure Quartr will not print — the FAQ says only "multiple years of backlog".

Latency is the real claim and the only thing committed to in writing. The API docs publish an SLA table: live audio streamed and transcribed within five seconds of event start for 90% of events; transcripts for 95% of events within 45 minutes of the call ending; audio within 20 minutes; filings within 15 minutes of release; decks within 30 minutes; edited transcripts within a couple of hours.

Transcripts are machine-produced in two passes: a raw one with paragraph breaks shortly after the call, then an edited one once speaker identification has run, adding names, roles and affiliations. The live stream is word-level with confidence scores and [indiscernible] markers. There is no human-checked next-day version.

Integrations

Quartr MCP is included with a Pro seat and set up in one click, putting the corpus inside Claude, ChatGPT Codex or Perplexity. The calendar syncs to Outlook, Apple and Google. Export goes two ways: a chat session to PDF, or tables, charts and the data behind an individual slide to Excel. Snowflake shares are an API delivery refreshed daily, not something a Pro seat gets.

Limitations

• Transcripts exist only for events conducted in English — a large hole in a 65-market product, and one stated in the docs rather than on any marketing page.
• Speaker identification is prioritised by client interest during earnings season, speaker fields can be null, and older transcripts are never backfilled with it.
• Nothing is portable. Content is licensed for your own internal use, passing it to a third party needs written approval, and the licence is revocable. Cancel and the archive is gone: what you exported to Excel or PDF while subscribed is all that survives.
• Mobile is a reduced client even for subscribers. Quartr's feature table marks global search and filters, slide search, filings search, slide-history comparison, export and summaries as desktop-only — and also watchlists, which the mobile product page flatly contradicts.
• No prices, charts, screener, portfolio or news. Anything quantitative past consensus estimates belongs in another tool.
• On the API side: even the redistribution licence forbids using the data to train, fine-tune or evaluate a model, forbids building a database archive from it, and requires a Quartr logo and link wherever the data is displayed.

Alternatives

AlphaSense is the institutional comparison, priced like one, and buys breadth Quartr lacks — broker research, expert-call libraries. Aiera competes directly on live calls and real-time transcripts. Fiscal.ai and Koyfin overlap on the terminal side with published prices and far more financial data, but neither treats the live call as the product. For nothing at all, SEC EDGAR full-text search covers US filings and no audio.
