Koyfin
A browser research terminal for global equities, funds, macro and estimates.

What it is
Koyfin is a research terminal in a browser tab. What you buy is breadth of reference data, not drawing tools: financials and Capital IQ consensus estimates across the global equity universe, bond yields for 45 countries, FRED series by ticker, ETF holdings and flows, Morningstar mutual fund returns — arranged into dashboards and watchlists you lay out yourself. Koyfin licenses all of it rather than scraping: S&P Capital IQ for fundamentals, estimates and valuation, Morningstar for funds, FRED and Trading Economics for macro, True FX for currencies, Polygon for crypto. The screener runs over the same universe, which the vendor puts at 100,000+ securities and 6,000+ filter criteria.
It answers a Bloomberg question cheaply: what this company's margins did for ten years next to its peers, and what the sell side expects next. It is not bought to trade from — no order routing, no options analytics, no broker connection on the plans an individual buys.
Pricing
Free, then $49 (Plus), $110 (Premium), $239 (Advisor Core) and $349 (Advisor Pro) per user per month; Teams is quoted. The prices the pricing page shows first are the annual ones — $39, $79, $209 and $299 a month, billed yearly, advertised as up to 30% off — and the toggle to monthly is what reveals the numbers above. Koyfin's own FAQ is blunt about the gap: the monthly plan is not discounted. Refunds run on a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
Plus is the real entry point, and what it buys is reach rather than tools: ten-year financials and estimates, global rather than S&P 500 coverage of targets and consensus, ETF screening, unlimited watchlists, screens and dashboards, and the right to download anything at all. Premium is where alerts on your own watchlists and portfolio start working, where custom formulas go from 10 to unlimited, and where ETF valuation stops being three tickers. The Advisor tiers are a different product sold on the same page — client portfolios, custodian feeds and branded reports.
The Pro plan was discontinued — after 30 April 2026 its subscribers move to Premium at the same price and lose model portfolios and mutual fund data, both now Advisor-only.
Data & coverage
Global, but intraday only in North America. US prices combine live and 15-minute delayed data, Canada is 15 minutes delayed, and every other country is end-of-day. Live exceptions: S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 and Dow, 60 currency pairs, bitcoin, and bond yields across 45 countries. Futures are front-month, end-of-day. Earnings transcripts go back 50 years on the paid plans and 45 days on the free one.
Integrations
Portfolios are typed in or loaded from a CSV of ticker or ISIN, quantity, cost and purchase date; custodian links, PMS connections and PDF statement upload are Advisor-tier only, and they populate client portfolios — My Portfolio, the one an individual keeps, never uses them. Advisor Core connects to one custodian at a time from Schwab, Altruist, TradePMR, Interactive Brokers and Fidelity Wealthscape; Advisor Pro lifts the cap and adds Black Diamond, Orion and Addepar. Alerts cover price, valuation, technicals, news, filings and transcripts — 5 a month on Free, 50 on Plus, 500 above that — and paid plans summarise earnings calls with AI.
Limitations
- No API, at any price: Koyfin's FAQ says data-provider restrictions forbid it. There is no spreadsheet add-in either.
- Export is restricted twice over. The free plan cannot download at all, and on the paid plans financials, estimates and valuation for global equities are blocked by the data vendor; price, performance, technicals, economic and fund data can leave.
- Nothing outside the US and Canada is intraday.
- No options analytics and no execution.
- Alerts on your own watchlists and portfolio do not exist below Premium at $110 a month, which is easy to miss when Plus advertises alerts.
- Your own holdings are never broker-linked: custodian integrations begin at $209 a month and feed client portfolios, not My Portfolio.
Alternatives
TIKR and Fiscal.ai cover similar fundamentals ground more cheaply, with thinner macro data. For charting and intraday scanning rather than research breadth, TradingView is a different shape of tool. Stock Rover is the North-America-only answer with real portfolio analytics attached.

FAQ
Is Koyfin data real-time?
Mostly not. US equity prices are a combination of live and 15-minute delayed data, Canadian prices are 15 minutes delayed, and every other country is end-of-day. Index, FX and bond-yield data has its own live subset.
Can I get Koyfin data through an API?
No, and not at any price. Koyfin's own FAQ says it does not allow API access because of restrictions from its data providers — in its words, they are in the API business and Koyfin is in the analytics business. There is no Excel or Google Sheets add-in either.
Is the Koyfin free plan usable?
For a look around, yes, but it is fenced by universe rather than by feature. There is a stock screener with 2 saved screens, 2 watchlists, 2 dashboards, 2 years of financials and 1 year of estimates — and analyst price targets, consensus estimates, earnings history, dividends and ETF exposure only for the S&P 500. Global coverage of those fields, 10 years of history and any data download at all start on Plus at $49 a month, or $39 billed annually.
Does Koyfin have a free trial of the paid plans?
Koyfin's help centre says every new sign-up gets a 7-day trial of all features that downgrades to the free plan automatically when it ends, with no card taken and no charge. The pricing page itself does not advertise it.
What happened to the Koyfin Pro plan?
It was discontinued. Pro subscribers moved to Premium at the same price after 30 April 2026, losing model portfolios and mutual fund data, both of which are now exclusive to the Advisor tiers.
