What it is

TC2000 is a technical analysis platform for US and Canadian equities — charts, watchlists, option chains and a scanner — descended from Worden Brothers' TeleChart, the name older traders will know it by. Its centre of gravity is EasyScan: you build a condition set from the built-in criteria or from PCF, the in-platform formula language, run it across the market in real time, and push the results straight onto a chart.

The Windows application is the real product; a browser platform covers Mac and there is an Android app, but the feature set thins as you move off Windows.

Pricing

Three paid tiers. At the monthly rate: Basic $24.99, Premium $49.99, Premium Plus $99.99; annual billing cuts those to $20.82, $41.65 and $83.32, and two-year billing to $18.74, $37.49 and $74.99. Real-time US stock data — Nasdaq Basic for the NYSE, Amex and Nasdaq — is in all three; what separates them is scanning. Basic has no scanner at all, so anyone buying TC2000 for the thing it is famous for is buying Premium.

The add-ons are where budgets go wrong. Real-time US options data is $9.99/month on top, real-time indexes another $9.99, consolidated tape $14.99, Dow Jones news $1.50 delayed or $2.50 real-time. Alerts are metered: 100 on Premium, 1000 on Premium Plus.

Those figures are the non-professional ones. Anyone registered with the SEC or a state agency, advising on someone else's money or trading a firm's capital signs professional exchange agreements instead and pays the exchanges on top of the subscription — Nasdaq Level 1 $25 a month, NYSE/AMEX $105, OPRA/CBOE $31.50, and only for the feeds actually elected.

Data & coverage

Stocks, ETFs, indexes and equity options, with Canadian names reaching the platform through the maintained TSX index watchlists. No futures and no crypto. A handful of forex symbols chart, but forex is not one of the feeds you can subscribe to.

Integrations

Almost nothing connects to TC2000 from outside it. There is no API, no webhooks and no spreadsheet add-in, and the only thing the platform will ingest is a symbol list — .csv, .txt, Excel or Word — from which it reads the tickers and drops every other column.

Order entry goes to one place. TC2000 Brokerage is a separate broker-dealer affiliated by common ownership, it accepts only applicants resident in the US, and every order it takes is routed through IB SmartRouting rather than sold. The default Small Trader plan is $1 plus half a cent a share on stocks and ETFs, and $1 plus 65 cents a contract on options; the optional Active Trader plan is $5 plus a tenth of a cent a share and $5 plus 35 cents a contract, which the vendor suggests above roughly 1,000 shares or 10 contracts a trade. Holding the account also pays part of the software back: $25 off the subscription for any month you place a trade or carry more than $30,000, up to $300 a year.

Limitations

  • No backtesting. EasyScan tests conditions against past dates, which tells you what a scan would have returned, not what a strategy would have. There is no equity curve.
  • No API, and export is thin. Chart export is a comma-delimited .txt capped at 1500 bars, Windows only; watchlist exports carry the symbols without the RSI, ratio or PCF values shown beside them.
  • Order entry needs a second signup. Trading from the chart works against a TC2000 Brokerage account — a separate broker-dealer affiliated by common ownership. The software subscription alone does not let you trade.
  • Five streaming scans at a time. The market-pulse gauges, live auto-refreshing filters and custom market indicators that justify Premium Plus run on TC2000's servers, and five is the cap. More are sold beside the data feeds.
  • Windows-first. Mac users are on the browser platform, and the iPhone app was still listed as coming soon in September 2026.

Alternatives

TradingView for a browser-native platform and a far larger script library, Trade Ideas for an intraday-first scanner, StockCharts for a lighter chart-first subscription. TC2000's argument against all three is the speed of the Windows client at the price of real-time scanning.

FAQ

Is TC2000 free?

There is a free mode with no credit card required — a fully functional trading simulator with a basic layout of charts, option chains, positions and a journal, running on delayed streaming data. Real-time data and scanning start at the $24.99/month Basic and $49.99/month Premium tiers respectively.

Does TC2000 have an API?

No. There is no public data API and no webhooks. The programmable surface is PCF, the in-platform formula language used to build scan and indicator conditions, and data leaves the product as delimited text files exported from the Windows application.

Which tier do I need for scanning?

Premium, at $49.99/month. The $24.99 Basic tier gives you real-time charts, watchlists and news, but real-time scanning, the EasyScan wizard and PCFs are all above it.

What does TC2000 market data cost on top of the subscription?

For a non-professional, nothing for US stocks — real-time NYSE, Amex and Nasdaq via Nasdaq Basic is included in all three tiers. Real-time options and real-time indexes are $9.99/month each and the consolidated tape is $14.99. A professional subscriber signs exchange agreements instead and is billed per exchange — $25/month for Nasdaq Level 1, $105 for NYSE/AMEX and $31.50 for OPRA/CBOE.

Can TC2000 trade through my existing broker?

No. Chart trading works only against a TC2000 Brokerage account, a separate broker-dealer affiliated by common ownership that accepts US residents only and routes through IB SmartRouting. There is no connection to an outside broker and no API with which to build one.

Does TC2000 cover futures, forex or crypto?

No. Coverage is stocks, ETFs, indexes and equity options, US-first with Canadian names reaching the platform through the maintained TSX index watchlists. Forex symbols chart but are not a subscribable feed, and there are no futures or crypto instruments.
