TradersPost

Turns TradingView and TrendSpider alerts into orders at your own broker, per account.

Best for traders whose rule already fires as a TradingView or TrendSpider alert and needs a broker on the other end; not for building or backtesting the rule itself.

What it is

TradersPost is a bridge, not a builder. You write the rule somewhere else — a TradingView strategy or alert, a TrendSpider bot, a QuantConnect algorithm, a Zapier or IFTTT flow, your own script — and point its webhook at a URL TradersPost gives you. The JSON that arrives (ticker, action of buy, sell or exit, optional price and quantity) becomes an order at the broker you connected, sized and shaped by the subscription settings you chose: market or limit, signal quantity or a fixed one, extended hours, long and short sides.

That makes it the second half of a no-code setup rather than the whole of one. The rule, its backtest and its edge all live on the platform that fires the alert. TradersPost's own disclosure says it provides no alerts, signals, research or advice, and holds no customer funds — it is non-custodial software that routes your instruction to your account. It was founded by Jonathan Wage on 1 January 2021.

Pricing

Four plans, priced by how many accounts and asset classes you connect rather than by trades: Starter at $49/month (1 live account, 4 paper, one asset class), Basic at $99 (2 live, 6 paper, two classes), Pro at $199 (3 live, 8 paper, three classes, user management and shareable private strategy templates) and Premium at $299 (6 live, 10 paper, all classes). Yearly billing takes 15% off. Extra accounts are $10/month live and $5/month paper on any plan. The "asset class" limit counts stocks, options, futures and crypto separately, so a trader running a stock strategy and an options strategy needs Basic, not Starter.

There is no free tier, only a 7-day trial; after it the account is disabled until you pay. There is no per-trade fee, and no refund clause on the pricing page.

Data & coverage

Sixteen broker and exchange connections at the time of checking, including TradeStation, Interactive Brokers, Alpaca, Tradier, tastytrade, E*TRADE, Robinhood, Webull, Tradovate, NinjaTrader and ProjectX, plus Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, Bybit and Crypto.com, and 29 prop firms. Stocks and ETFs, futures, crypto spot, single-stock options and index options on SPX, NDX, RUT, XSP and VIX. Options are directional only — buying calls or puts in place of shares; spreads and multi-leg orders are not supported. Forex and crypto futures are on a waiting list.

The built-in TradersPost paper broker is for checking configuration, not performance: it ignores market hours, fills limit orders at any price, fills market orders at the bid-ask midpoint, and never expires an options or futures position.

Integrations

Inbound webhooks are the only interface. A webhook URL accepts 60 requests a minute and 500 an hour before answering 429, and the minimum chart timeframe is one minute — anything faster can get the account suspended. The unified broker API the marketing site shows is a waiting list, and the FAQ says plainly that there is no API yet. Email notifications cover new and failed webhooks and trades.

Limitations

  • No backtest, no editor, no analytics. The FAQ says there are no strategy- or trade-level reports and no export of trades; P&L analysis happens at the broker or in a journal.
  • Failed orders are never retried. The known-limitations page says so, and warns that an order accepted and later rejected by the broker may produce no failure email.
  • The signal source's delay is yours to absorb. TradingView alerts can arrive a minute late or not at all, and signals sent within the same second can race; the docs recommend one to five minutes between signals.
  • No margin tracking: an order beyond buying power is simply rejected by the broker.
  • Stop losses placed at entry cannot be amended later; move them by sending a new exit signal.
  • Robinhood is a connection on TradersPost's terms, not Robinhood's. Robinhood's help-centre article on third-party connections, read on 9 October 2026, says it does not allow trading APIs to be linked to an account without its written authorization, nor third-party applications to take action on the app. TradersPost's own Robinhood connection page, read the same day, says it is an independent platform not affiliated with Robinhood; its docs limit the connection to stocks, including Traditional and Roth IRAs since 12 August 2024, with no options, crypto, bracket orders or paper trading there. Ask both companies before connecting an account you care about.

Alternatives

TradingView and TrendSpider are the signal sources this sits behind; TrendSpider's own broker route runs through SignalStack instead. Option Alpha if the strategy is an options spread, which TradersPost cannot place. Composer if you would rather build, backtest and execute in one hosted product, at the cost of using its brokerage.

FAQ

Is TradersPost free?

No. The $0 plan is a 7-day trial — manual submission on live accounts and automatic submission on paper accounts. When it ends, strategy subscriptions and the account are disabled until you take a paid plan, which starts at $49 a month.

Can I backtest a strategy in TradersPost?

No. TradersPost has no backtester and no strategy editor; its own documentation sends you to TradingView, TrendSpider or a Python framework for that. It executes the signal a strategy sends, it does not decide what the signal is.

How fast does a TradingView alert reach my broker through TradersPost?

The delay that matters is upstream. TradersPost's FAQ says TradingView webhooks arrive anywhere from 2–3 seconds to upwards of 60 seconds late, and that TradingView considers 25–45 seconds normal. Strategies on charts below one minute are not supported.

Does TradersPost charge per trade?

No. It is a flat monthly or yearly subscription priced by connected accounts and asset classes; your broker's commissions and fees still apply on top.
