TickerReplay

A stocks-and-options journal rebuilt from your fills, with spreads and rolls kept whole.

Best for stock and options traders whose old journal split every spread into separate rows and who will import a CSV or sync a US broker; not for futures, forex or crypto traders, or anyone wanting a chain or greeks.

What it is

A post-trade journal for stocks and options built around one complaint: that a journal designed for single-leg equity trades turns a four-leg iron condor into four rows, each of which wins or loses on its own, so the win rate counts a trade you never placed. TickerReplay rebuilds trades from your fills. Legs opened together become one trade with a net credit or debit and a quantity in spreads, the per-leg fills kept underneath; a roll stays chained to the position it rolled, with the credit carried across; an assignment closes the option and opens the stock on the same trade, so the cost basis and the eventual P&L land together.

From that record it computes net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, an R-multiple distribution, SQN, drawdown and calendar P&L, sliced by symbol, strategy, tag and time of day. A defined-risk spread gets its R from width minus credit automatically. Anything else needs the optional stop on the trade, and a trade without one is excluded from the R figures and SQN rather than given an estimated risk. Each trade page embeds a TradingView price chart of the underlying with entry and exit marked. A dashboard button loads sample data, so the reports can be seen before anything of your own is imported.

The AI is pointed at the past. Paste-to-log turns a typed note or a screenshot of a fill confirmation into a pre-filled entry form for you to check, never a saved trade. Insights describe patterns across trades you have logged, and post drafts write an X or Reddit post from one journaled trade for you to edit. The site's AI page says it will not predict prices, grade a setup before entry or generate signals. Plus and Pro also let a trader coach students on the platform, with a cohort view on Pro.

The terms, privacy policy and footer name SES Technology Ventures LLC as the operator, with Georgia law and Gwinnett County courts. That company's own site lists TickerReplay among its ventures beside DailyOptionsPick, a service it runs that sells daily credit-spread trade ideas. TickerReplay neither links to nor mentions it. The domain was registered on 5 September 2026 and the terms are dated September 2026.

Pricing

Free is permanent and asks for no card: 30 trades over a rolling 30 days, CSV import and manual entry, every report and chart, export, one saved dashboard layout and one custom strategy. Plus is $19 a month, or $15 a month billed annually ($180 a year), and lifts the trade cap, adds nightly broker sync, unlimited layouts and three strategies. Pro is $39, or $30 billed annually ($360), for unlimited strategies and coached students. Paid plans start with a 7-day trial and ask for a card at the Stripe checkout. Payments are not refunded except where the law requires; a cancelled account keeps access to the end of the period and then returns to free with its data.

The vendor's pages disagree about AI insights. The plans table gives the free plan one insight a day; the free-plan and AI pages say insights are paid only. Paste-to-log is capped at 10 parses a day on free, 200 on Plus and 400 on Pro.

Data & coverage

Stocks and options only: no futures, no forex, and the vendor says crypto is not supported, although the manual entry form labels its equity option "stock / crypto". The brokers it names are US ones and every price is in dollars, but reports can total in a base currency of USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, CHF or JPY, with a warning when a trade has no FX rate for its date. There is no market data beyond the embedded chart: no quotes, no options chain, no greeks and no pricing model.

Integrations

In, by CSV: tastytrade, Interactive Brokers, thinkorswim and Robinhood layouts are detected from the headers, and any other broker imports through a generic one-row-per-fill CSV with optional fees, expiry, strike, right and order ID. Re-importing the same file skips duplicate fills. On paid plans, SnapTrade adds a read-only nightly sync from what the site calls 20+ brokerages; the credentials go to SnapTrade, not to TickerReplay. Out, CSV and JSON on every plan, the JSON including notes, tags, day notes and strategies, plus share links and image cards for single trades. No API, webhooks or MCP server.

Limitations

  • Stocks and options only. A trader with futures or forex in the same account needs a second journal, which breaks the portfolio-wide win rate the product is built to get right.
  • Sync is nightly and paid. On free, every update is a fresh CSV export.
  • No R without a recorded stop, except on defined-risk spreads, so for a stock trader who never enters stops the R statistics and SQN stay empty.
  • The privacy policy says the AI provider receives only what is submitted to paste-to-log and does not name the provider; it does not say what insights send, though they read your trade history.
  • Web only, with no phone app mentioned, and no refunds.
  • New: the domain dates from September 2026, and the Wayback Machine holds no capture of it.

Alternatives

TradesViz has the largest free tier that imports, 3,000 executions a month but stocks only, and its paid tiers detect spreads and cover futures, forex and crypto. TraderSync leads with options, but its spread detection is an Elite-tier beta. StonkJournal groups multi-leg options with no trade cap if you type trades in. Tradervue has the same 30-trade free cap, counted by calendar month, and takes futures and forex.

FAQ

Does TickerReplay keep an options spread as one trade?

Yes, on every plan. Legs opened together import as one trade with a net debit or credit and the leg fills kept underneath; a roll stays linked to the position it rolled, and an assigned short leg is tied to the stock it produced. The free plan caps trade volume, not this reconstruction.

How does TickerReplay work out the R multiple?

For a defined-risk spread, from its width minus the credit, with nothing to type. For anything else it needs the stop you record on the trade. A trade with no known initial risk is left out of the R-based figures and the SQN rather than given an estimated risk.

Which brokers does TickerReplay import from?

CSV layouts from tastytrade, Interactive Brokers, thinkorswim and Robinhood are detected from the file's headers, and any other broker's fills import through a generic CSV of datetime, symbol, side, quantity and price. Paid plans add nightly read-only sync through SnapTrade, with Robinhood, Fidelity, Schwab, Webull, E*TRADE and tastytrade named in the app.

Is the free plan a trial?

No. It is permanent and asks for no card, and the cap is 30 trades over a rolling 30 days, so the allowance returns day by day rather than on a billing date. Trades over the cap wait rather than being dropped, and an account that stops paying falls back to free with its data kept.
