FAST Graphs

Price drawn against earnings or cash flow at a multiple you can override.

Best for long-term investors who judge a stock by its price against earnings history; not for traders, for anyone needing full non-US coverage without an add-on, or for programmatic data access.

What it is

FAST Graphs is a web app built around one chart: a company's share price plotted against a line drawn from a fundamental — adjusted, basic or diluted earnings, operating cash flow, free cash flow to equity, FFO for REITs, EBITDA, EBIT or sales — multiplied by a valuation ratio. Above the line the market is paying more per dollar of earnings than that ratio, below it less. A forecasting view carries the line forward on consensus estimates, beside a scorecard of how accurate analysts have been on that company.

Two lines come with every chart. The orange one is the vendor's reference multiple; the blue one is the normal P/E, what the market has historically paid. Both can be replaced: the security settings take a custom valuation ratio, and further custom multiples can be added as extra lines. That is what keeps this card inside a catalogue of software rather than advice — the multiple is the reader's input, and the chart is arithmetic on it.

Around the chart sit 20 years of annual and quarterly statements, a screener that can compare one metric to another (current P/E below its five-year average), portfolios with buys and sells plotted on the chart, alerts, the vendor's composite FG Score, and a chat assistant, Charles, that answers questions about a stock or portfolio and builds screens from plain English.

Pricing

The pricing page opens on the annual toggle, so the $15.95 and $40 in the big type are annual rates. Month to month it is $19.95 for Basic and $49.95 for Premium. Basic is the chart with the earnings and cash-flow lines and three portfolios; Premium adds EBITDA, EBIT and sales, screen building, broker connections, CSV export of statements and the chat assistant. The plan table groups alerts with the assistant's features and crosses the group out on Basic, so whether Basic gets alerts outside the chat is not stated. The page's structured data also lists a Premium 5x plan at $80 a month or $770 a year that the rendered page neither shows nor explains. International coverage is a separate $10 a month add-on.

Data & coverage

The app credits FactSet Research Systems for pricing data and S&P Global Market Intelligence for credit ratings. The base universe is US and Canadian listings — about 20,000 symbols by the vendor's own count, a figure published in 2016 and not restated since. Equity ETFs (over 50% equity holdings) get the same charts plus holdings and sector breakdowns; bond and commodity ETFs do not. The price in the header is labelled previous close.

Integrations

Premium connects up to five brokerage accounts; holdings can also be imported from CSV, and positions and transactions exported. The terms of use require manual access and forbid scraping or automated retrieval.

Limitations

  • The orange line is marketed as fair value, and it is a formula. Per the vendor's documentation it is a P/E of 15 for companies growing earnings 5–15% a year, a P/E equal to the growth rate at 15% and above, and Graham's formula capped at 15 below 5%. One house rule, not a verdict on the company.
  • The blue normal P/E line is the trimmed average P/E over the timeframe on screen, highest and lowest year dropped. It moves when the timeframe changes, and the vendor itself says a stock trading on it is not necessarily fairly valued.
  • Stocks beyond the US and Canada cost extra, and which exchanges the add-on covers is not published.
  • No free plan: after the 7-day trial an unpaid account opens only demo stocks.
  • No API, spreadsheet add-in or MCP server; CSV export of statements is Premium-only.
  • Web only, with no mobile app documented.

Alternatives

GuruFocus draws its own GF Value line over 30 years of financials, with coverage sold by region. Stock Unlock offers a DCF whose assumptions you set, across 70+ exchanges, for less. TIKR fits when the job is reading statements and consensus estimates rather than charting a multiple. The rest of the field is in fundamentals and research platforms.

FAQ

Does FAST Graphs tell you what a stock is worth?

It draws a reference line and labels it fair value, but the line is a formula, not an appraisal. By the vendor's documentation the orange line is a P/E of 15 for most companies, rising to a P/E equal to the earnings growth rate for companies growing 15% a year or faster. You can override that multiple with your own, so what the chart shows is price against a business metric at the ratio you chose.

What is the blue normal P/E line?

The multiple the market has actually paid for the stock over the timeframe on screen — a trimmed average of the annual P/E with the single highest and lowest year removed. It moves whenever you change the timeframe, and the vendor says plainly that a stock trading on it is not necessarily fairly valued.

Does FAST Graphs cover stocks outside the US and Canada?

Only through a paid add-on. The base plans cover US and Canadian listings; an International Data add-on at $10 a month or $100 a year unlocks what the app describes as 20,000 more international stocks. The vendor publishes no list of which exchanges those are.

Is there a free plan?

No. There is a 7-day free trial for new subscribers with no credit card required, after which an account without a plan can open only a short list of demo stocks.
