Stock Events

What it is

Stock Events is a dividend and events calendar with a portfolio tracker attached, from a German company, and it is a phone product first: home-screen widgets, push notifications before an ex-date or an earnings call, and help articles whose steps all begin "tap". A web app does exist and is not a stub — it is where you create API keys and manage account data — but the App Store and Play listings are the front door.

The calendar is the reason to pick it. Upcoming payments, ex-dates, payout history, yield on cost and projected annual income, plus estimates for payouts not yet announced, then earnings dates, IPOs, analyst ratings and a "dips" flag on the same timeline. Pro adds Custom Collections — stock lists built from filters such as sector or a metric over or under a threshold, which the app store listing sells as a screener — a side feature here rather than a reason to buy.

Pricing

Free never expires and caps you at 15 tracked stocks and 5 AI chat messages a day; each referral buys five more spots. Pro is $7.99 a month or $49.99 a year, with a 7-day trial, and lifts the caps while adding portfolio analytics, extended charts, custom assets, calendar sync, the Excel and Google Sheets add-ins and API keys.

Brokerage sync is in neither plan. Connect is a separate add-on at $0.99 a week — about $51 a year, more than Pro itself — for unlimited connections.

Data & coverage

100,000+ instruments across 50-plus global exchanges: stocks, ETFs, funds, bonds, crypto and commodities, in any mix of currencies, with US options tracking added in August 2026. The vendor sells its event data to other businesses and names no upstream provider anywhere on the site, which suggests the dividend and earnings calendar is curated in-house rather than resold — but that is an inference, not a disclosure.

Integrations

CSV and XLSX transaction import, matched against existing rows so the same file can be re-imported without duplicates. Auto-sync rides on SnapTrade. The Pro API is account automation, not market data: watchlists, symbols, transactions and the calculated holdings and dividends views, bearer-token authenticated, and it returns 403 the moment Pro lapses.

Limitations

• The free tier's 15-stock cap is a hard stop for imports: the import documentation says rows past your remaining spots are not imported rather than queued.
• Broker sync is neither free nor bundled — it is a separate subscription with its own paywall and its own 3-day trial, and nothing on the pricing page makes Pro a precondition for it.
• Broker coverage leans US and Canadian, and Stock Events' own connect screen claims only 20-plus brokerages against the 40-odd SnapTrade lists.
• No tax report. Withholding percentages and FIFO/LIFO affect what you see, not what you file.
• Prices are presented as live, and the help centre says the daily change is computed from the official previous close, but no delay schedule and no market-data licensing is published anywhere on the site, so "realtime" stays the vendor's own claim for 50-plus venues.
• Export is per watchlist: the import and export screen writes the currently selected watchlist's transactions to CSV or Excel, not the whole account at once.

Alternatives
