extraETF
German portfolio tracker with bank sync and PDF import, plus a free search of 5,189 ETPs.
Best for investors in Germany who hold ETFs, shares and crypto at German banks and brokers and want them synced and analysed in one place, with a free ETF search beside it; not for US accounts, tax reports or an API.

What it is
extraETF is a German personal-finance site with two halves. The free half is research: an ETF search across 5,189 products tradable in Germany, a share search, comparison and top-and-flop tables, 106 model portfolios, calculators, news and broker comparisons. The paid half is the extraETF Portfolio Tracker, which is what the price list sells and what the terms of use define as the service. The site is published by Isarvest GmbH of Munich, which also publishes the Extra-Magazin.
The tracker takes transactions by bank sync, by drag-and-drop PDF import of broker statements, by CSV or by hand, and holds ETFs, shares, funds and crypto in one view. It then breaks the holdings down — an X-ray through each ETF to regions, countries, sectors and individual positions, a style box, monthly and annual returns, drawdown and volatility — and builds a dividend calendar with received, expected and accumulated income. A benchmark comparison sets the portfolio against an index such as the MSCI World or the DAX. The vendor says 200,000 users track more than 12 billion euros with it.
The research half is why this card is also listed under ETF research. The ETF search filters by asset class and then by region, country, sector, strategy, bond type, maturity and currency; each fund page carries tracking difference and a savings-plan comparison. The model portfolios are templates with historical returns, published free with a disclaimer that they are not a recommendation.
Pricing
Free: one portfolio, one watchlist, one price alert and reduced analysis — top-ten positions in the X-ray, dividends for the last twelve months only. Investor at 9.99 € a month or 89.99 € a year opens the full analysis, ten portfolios, unlimited alerts, the portfolio report and data export. Expert at 14.99 € a month or 139.99 € a year raises the limits to fifty portfolios and adds priority support; the annual Expert plan also includes the DeepDive, a quarterly digital magazine sold on its own at 99.99 € a year. Prices include VAT. A monthly subscription runs at least four weeks, an annual one twelve months, and both renew unless cancelled five days before the end. There is no trial; the free plan stands in for one.
Data & coverage
Master data for shares, ETFs and funds comes from Morningstar and for crypto from CoinGecko, per the site's own data notice; prices are at least 15 minutes delayed, or the fund's NAV, with real-time quotes only where a venue provides them. The ETF search covers what is tradable in Germany: 2,721 equity, 1,543 bond, 287 commodity, 36 real-estate and 35 money-market products, 56 portfolio products and 168 crypto products. Bank sync is German: Trade Republic, Scalable Capital, ING, comdirect, Consorsbank, DKB, flatex and a dozen more, with Bitpanda for crypto.
Integrations
Bank sync, PDF import and CSV import in; CSV export of holdings, transactions and dividends out on the paid plans. Dividend records can be passed to DivTax, a separate service, to check a foreign withholding-tax reclaim. iOS and Android apps share the account. No API, no spreadsheet add-in, and no documented link to any other tracker.
Limitations
- Germany only, in practice. The bank list, the product universe and the language of the site are German; a US or UK account has nowhere to sync from.
- No tax report. Nothing on the offer page produces a German tax figure, which is what several German trackers sell; withholding-tax reclaims go out to DivTax, a third party.
- No trial and no withdrawal. The terms exclude the statutory right of withdrawal for the paid plans once the digital content is provided.
- Delayed prices. At least 15 minutes, or the NAV — fine for tracking, not for trading.
- A media site around a tool. Broker, robo-advisor and savings-account comparisons sit in the same menu as the tracker, and the publisher sells advertising — the footer links its media data for advertisers. This card covers the tracker and the search, not those comparisons.
Alternatives
Parqet and getquin are the other German-built trackers, the first on PDF imports, the second on open banking with a social feed. Portfolio Performance is free, open source and runs on your own machine. If what you came for is the ETF search, justETF covers the UCITS universe with filters for savings-plan availability at named brokers.

FAQ
What does extraETF cost?
The tracker is free for one portfolio. Investor is 9.99 € a month or 89.99 € a year and Expert 14.99 € a month or 139.99 € a year, VAT included, read on the offer page on 23 October 2026. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled five days before the period ends.
Is there a free trial of extraETF?
No. The offer page says there is no special trial version; the free plan is what you test with. Because the paid plans are digital content, the terms exclude the usual consumer right of withdrawal once they start.
Which banks does extraETF sync with?
The tracker's own page shows logos for Trade Republic, Scalable Capital, ING, comdirect, Consorsbank, DKB, flatex, finanzen.net zero, Smartbroker, Postbank, S Broker, maxblue, onvista bank, 1822direkt, Commerzbank, ebase, quirion and Bitpanda. A bank that is not supported can be read in by PDF import or entered by hand.
Are the extraETF model portfolios investment advice?
No, and the vendor says so. The 106 Musterportfolios are published free as examples of how ETFs can be combined — a 70/30 Vanguard split, an all-weather portfolio, allocations attributed to named investors — each with its historical returns and a disclaimer that no investment recommendation is made. They are not part of what the paid plans sell.
