Finanzfluss Copilot

German net-worth and portfolio tracker with bank sync for 350+ providers and a budget.

Best for investors in Germany who want brokerage accounts, current accounts and cards synced into one free dashboard with a household budget beside the portfolio; not for a tax report, an API or a portfolio held mainly outside Germany.

What it is

Finanzfluss Copilot is a net-worth and portfolio tracker for investors in Germany, published by Finflow GmbH of Berlin under the Finanzfluss brand — a personal-finance site with guides, calculators, product comparisons and a YouTube channel. The vendor says more than 100,000 people use the Copilot.

It pulls brokerage accounts, current accounts and credit cards into one dashboard through automatic connections to more than 350 providers, adds what cannot be connected by PDF or CSV import or by hand, and then tracks everything: shares, ETFs, funds, crypto, precious metals and property, with loans as liabilities. Returns are shown both time-weighted and as an internal rate of return. The investment side has an analysis tab for diversification, a dividend calendar with your personal yield, watchlists, and on PLUS a breakdown of what the funds hold and a comparison against an index or a security. The banking side is a household budget: transactions are categorised automatically, drawn as a Sankey chart, split, tagged and budgeted.

Imports that will not connect can go through smart document recognition, which reads a broker's PDF, CSV or an image of a statement with an AI model and drafts the transactions for you to check. That is the only AI on the card, and it is why ai_features reads assistive.

Pricing

Free covers more than most trackers' free tiers: automatic import from every supported provider, unlimited portfolios, the budget book, one budget, one watchlist and the basic investment analysis. Copilot PLUS, €8.99 a month or €69.99 a year, unlocks unlimited budgets and watchlists, the breakdown, benchmark comparison, the dividend calendar, extended share and dividend metrics, CSV export of transactions and a badge in the community Discord. A seven-day trial applies to either billing period but, for technical reasons, only when PLUS is bought on the web rather than in the app. Both periods renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the period paid.

Data & coverage

Prices come through wealthAPI, which collects them from exchanges and other sources. The help centre lists Stuttgart and EUWAX as preferred venues with 15-minute delayed prices, Tradegate also delayed, Lang & Schwarz and gettex in real time, Frankfurt as an end-of-day fallback, Cboe as an end-of-day source preferred for US-dollar holdings, and CoinGecko for crypto at 15 minutes. You can change the venue per holding if a price looks wrong.

Automatic connection works for brokerage accounts with their settlement accounts and for current accounts with their own IBAN. Savings, call-money and loan accounts and sub-accounts without an IBAN depend on the bank and do not always connect. The help centre has troubleshooting articles for failed imports, with separate ones for flatex/DEGIRO and Scalable Capital.

Integrations

wealthAPI is the integration: the connection, the credentials and the prices sit with it, under a BaFin licence as a Kontoinformationsdienstleister. Data leaves the Copilot only as a CSV export of transactions, and only on PLUS; the help centre notes that a classic backup is not possible and suggests regular CSV exports instead. Health insurance and policies taken out through Finanzfluss can be added to the overview. iOS and Android apps share the account. No API.

Limitations

  • A comparison business sits next to it. Finanzfluss earns affiliate commission on its broker, account and card comparisons and brokers insurance through a sister company. Its disclosure says the Copilot is funded by PLUS, and the Copilot page says user data is not sold or passed on for marketing; this card covers the tracker, not the comparisons.
  • No tax report. Vorabpauschale estimates and a Freistellungsauftrag overview are as far as tax goes.
  • Built for Germany. Apart from Cboe and CoinGecko the price venues are German exchanges, and the product and its help centre are in German.
  • Mixed price quality. Some venues are real-time, most are 15 minutes late, and Frankfurt and Cboe prices are end-of-day; the help centre admits the dividend calendar sometimes shows incorrect values.
  • No backup and no API. CSV export is the only way out, and it is a PLUS feature.

Alternatives

Parqet is the German tracker built on PDF imports, and getquin the one with bank sync and a social feed. extraETF pairs a tracker with an ETF search. Portfolio Performance is free, open source and runs on your own machine, with no bank connection to trust.

FAQ

What does Finanzfluss Copilot cost?

The Copilot is free for unlimited portfolios with automatic import, a budget book, one budget and one watchlist. Copilot PLUS is €8.99 a month or €69.99 a year, with a seven-day free trial on either, read on the price page and help centre on 23 October 2026. Both renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time.

Who connects my bank and broker accounts to the Copilot?

wealthAPI, which Finanzfluss names as a BaFin-licensed account information service provider. It asks for your bank credentials, holds the connection data encrypted, and supplies the price data too; Finanzfluss says it never sees your login, and the access is read-only, so nobody can place a transaction in your name.

How does Finanzfluss make money?

Its own disclosure page lists affiliate commission on links to providers marked with an asterisk across its broker, account and card comparisons, insurance brokerage through Finanzfluss Versicherungsservice GmbH, a fee from providers rated very good for using its test seal, paid sponsorships in its newsletter, podcasts and social channels, YouTube advertising, and Copilot PLUS subscriptions. It says the Copilot itself is financed by PLUS; the Copilot page adds that user data is never sold or passed on for marketing.

Does the Copilot produce a German tax report?

No tax report is listed on the price page for either plan. The help centre covers two narrower things — estimating the Vorabpauschale on funds before it is charged, and keeping an overview of your Freistellungsaufträge across banks.

Is the Copilot's document import AI?

Yes. Smart document recognition reads PDF, CSV, JPEG or PNG files up to 10 MB and extracts the transactions with an AI model, for brokerage accounts only. The help centre says files are processed on servers in the EU or Germany, are not stored after analysis and are not used to train the model.
